This delightful holiday home is just a few miles from the pretty moorland town of Dulverton, which offers a variety of good pubs and restaurants. The stunning and dramatic Exmoor National Park is nearby, and offers a fantastic range of breathtaking walks with spectacular views. You can walk to the Tarr Steps in the heart of Exmoor and enjoy the sights of the beautiful wooded valley of the River Barle. There are also opportunities for horse riding and fishing nearby. A short drive away is the glorious North Devon coast, with its picturesque views, sandy beaches, charming seaside towns including Porlock, Lynmouth and Lynton, the Valley of the Rocks, and the breathtaking coastal walk from Heddons Mouth to Woody Bay.

On entering this charming cottage, two steps down will take you into the traditional and welcoming lounge. Tastefully furnished, with comfy seating, TV, DVD and wood burner effect gas fire, this is an ideal space to relax in at the end of a wonderful day. Moving through the lounge you will find the conservatory with seating and bistro tables, where you can sit back and enjoy the garden views. Exploring this lovely property further you will find an additional study/lounge with a sofa bed which can accommodate 2 people. You will also find an attractive dining room adjacent to the kitchen with comfortable seating for 8, as well as TV and DVD. Moving into the attractively designed kitchen you will find it fully equipped with Rayburn, twin burner gas hob, microwave and dishwasher. Next to the kitchen is a larder with fridge/freezer, and the washing machine and dryer are housed in the utility room, which has access directly out onto the patio. There is also a separate WC on the ground floor. Heading up to the first floor you will find three comfy bedrooms. There’s a master bedroom with a king-size double bed, dressing area, feature fireplace and an en-suite bathroom with a shower over the bath and a WC. The second bedroom has twin beds which can be made up as a zip-linked king-size double upon request, and there’s also a cosy twin bedroom. You will also find a quaint French style bathroom, with a shower over the bath and a WC.

Stepping outside, you can unwind in the terraced cottage garden with a patio area and pond.

Well maintained cottage with countryside British character. Owner is very friendly and had kindly left some milk for us to make tea/coffee on arrival. Perfect for family and friends to spend a good holiday.

Very comfortable house obviously much loved by the owner The nearby pub, Badgers Holt, served good wholesome food and also made us very welcome - especially as we o lay wanted a short walk

We had a great week in the Red Door House. The house was welcoming, comfortable, well-equipped, and spacious. The weather was not ideal, but we went for lots of walks and outings anyway. All-in-all, a really good family holiday.

A wonderful holiday in a beautiful, characterful cottage. We were blessed with great weather for our week in May, so we enjoyed eating and resting in the beautiful garden. The cottage is large and wonderfully equipped and the host was very attentive beforehand to make sure our needs were met. stayed here for 4 days with family for a break we traveled from south wales and not realising the time we let ourselves straight in. we did not know it was still only 2.45pm (booking clearly states from 4pm) so it was a shock when the owner turned up to do a small adjustment to one of the tv,s mr.radford was absolutely fine that we had arrived befoRead morere the time(phew) and i must say what a superb gentleman he was about it the place was absolutely SPOTLESS and we are re-booking soon 5 STARS HERE Hide

Red Door is a beautiful house in a perfect location. Full of character. Warmth and love is in every nook and cranny and the minute you walk through the door you feel your troubles melting away. Theres plenty of space for all to sit round the dinning room table for meals and games. The kitchen is a good size and with the hatch way to the dinning rooRead morem the family cook wont feel isolated. Great property with everything you could need. Easily managed the aga which was a little daunting initially. The absolute peace and quiet was fantastic to experience. Lovely holiday accommodation, but a bit disappointed with the garden. We did find it a bit awkward getting in and out to park as very steep lane and unable to see cars coming.

This is a fantastic property, perfect for a peaceful, relaxing break and very comfortable for 8 adults (we had 7). Loved the ambience, the ample parking places, the conservatory, patio and garden, which all provided perfect spots for reading or chatting, the octagonal dining table, and (my favourite) the dressing area in the en suite master bedroomRead more. Red Door House is an exceptional property. It is beautifully maintained, as are the extensive gardens too. This property cannot be faulted in any way. From the minute you walk through the front door, you will feel at home. High quality furnishing and fittings are throughout the property, This really is , as previously stated exceptional.

Absolutely fantastic stay here. The cottage is gorgeous and the location is perfect. Lovely to explore the local villages and Dunster. Amazing pubs nearby - the luttral arms rooftop garden was gorgeous. We (including the dogs) have never slept so soundly.
