A walker’s heaven

When on a Quantock Hills holiday you must get out and enjoy the wonderful array of footpaths in the area. Coleridge Way, named after the poet Samuel Taylor Coleridge, passes through the Quantocks before finishing in Porlock on Exmoor, while the Quantock Greenway and the Macmillan Way West are also well worth a stomp.

When it comes to things to do, there’s much to enjoy. Fyne Court is a hidden gem amongst the hills, with the National Trust property providing insight into the life of former resident Andrew Crosse’s, aka ‘The Thunder and Lightning Man’.

You can also enjoy a ride on the West Somerset Railway, which passes by the edge of the hills and takes in 10 unique stops. You’ll also be within driving distance of towns including Bridgwater and Taunton, ideal if you want to hit the shops.
