Choose from a variety of accommodation to suit your stay

Radstock is an old mining town characterised by its large old winding wheel that sits prominently in the centre of town. The town itself is just 9 miles outside of Bath and has some wonderful surrounding countryside that is full of walks, pathways and traditional pubs.

Radstock’s high street is dissected by a pretty river which is the perfect setting for feeding the ducks whilst ambling along the river’s edge through the town. There are a host of great places to stay nearby that will give you easy access to the town’s amenities and much more. Radstock dates back to the Iron Age and became an extremely important stop on the Fosse Way, the old military road to Bath during the Roman times.

For these reasons, those with a passion for history will love the area. Today the town has its very own museum, which you will find in Radstock’s former market hall, so you can go and discover more about the area and life in North Somerset since the 19th century for yourself.

For those that enjoy walking, then a stay in Radstock will place you perfectly for exploring the Mendip Hills. The Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is made up of limestone hills with meandering rivers throughout. Why not take a picnic and reward yourself as you finish your short stroll or get half way through your long ramble? There is also a cycle network that joins onto the town, so why not bring your bike along with you or even hire one locally and venture into North Somerset on two wheels? Also, for those that prefer to take things at a slower pace, the Memorial Park on Waterloo Road is the perfect spot for a relaxing afternoon in a tranquil green space.

If you would like a bit more hustle and bustle then head into the elegant city of Bath which is just a short drive away. Here you can shop to your hearts content, dine at spectacular restaurants and indulge in the wealth of culture and history that the city boasts. If you fancy treating yourself even further you could also visit the Bath Thermae Spa, where you can be pampered like royalty in Britain’s only natural thermal waters.
