Situated within the stunning rugged Exmoor National Park you will be ideally based to explore the picturesque North Devon and Somerset coastlines. Fantastic walks are available directly from the property’s front door including a circular walk to the village pub, or enjoy excellent coastal walks along the South West Coast Path. For those looking for a little more hustle and bustle, the seaside town of Minehead is just a drive away, and offers a range of shops, restaurants, and attractions along with its sandy beach. Other places of interest in the area include the pretty villages of Porlock, Lynton and Lynmouth, the harbour town of Watchet, the West Somerset Steam Railway and National Trusts Knighthayes Court and the medieval village of Dunster with its fascinating castle.

Upon entering the beautiful single-storey property, you will be greeted by the spacious entrance hall, a useful space to hang coats and leave muddy shoes after a walk through the countryside. The light and spacious, open-plan lounge/diner features a cosy wood burner and Smart TV, so you can relax in the evening and enjoy your favourite programmes. From here there are also French doors that lead to the raised decking, where you can let the outside in on sunny days and enjoy the views. Leading from either the hallway or the lounge/diner you enter the well-equipped kitchen with electric Rangemaster oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine, a great space to prepare a meal. Back to the hallway you will find the two bedrooms, a king-size bedroom which enjoys countryside views and a twin. Completing the property is a contemporary bathroom with a shower over bath and WC.

Venturing outside from the kitchen there is a large covered porch perfect for taking off muddy wellies after a countryside walk or drying off your four-legged friend. A gradual sloping pathway down takes you straight into the enclosed lawn garden, a perfect space for children to play with a raised decked area tucked away and private.  The enclosed decked terrace can be accessed from the lounge/diner and garden and is a perfect place to relax and enjoy a spot of al fresco dining. To the side of the property there is ample off-road parking for two cars. The property is accessed via a small country lane, please take care whist driving.

  • There is an Accidental Damage Deposit of £200 when booking at this property, however this may be waived for £25. We’ll provide more details about this when booking your holiday.

A perfect place for enjoying the varied countryside of river valleys and moorland of this part of Somerset. The cottage is extremely well equipped and maintained and has excellent views from a very quiet and private location. We thoroughly enjoyed our week here.

Lovely position, quiet & perfect garden for our dog. Easy access to many amazing walks. Lovely friendly pubs in easy driving distance. Glad of the wood burner in the evenings. We had a great week.

Prachtig huisje in het schitterende Exmoor National Park. Vanaf de locatie zijn veel bezienswaardigheden op 20-30 min. afstand, zoals Tarr Steps, Dulverton, Dunster en Dunster Castle, wandelingen bij Simon's bath, Dunkery Beacon, en Porlock Weir (Valley of Rocks iets verder). Lovely, comfortable and well equipped bungalow. Secure garden for dogs unless you really have an escapologist! Narrow lane to access property which was not a problem to us and therefore provided a very peaceful outlook and position. Great location for exploring Exmoor and coast of Somerset and North Devon. Zephyrs is a very comfortable cottage, in a lovely location. So nice to wake up to amazing views and peace and quiet apart from birdsong and lambs bleating. Its a welcome change for caretaker to come to the cottage and explain how things work and tells us some of the local walks.
