The cottage is located within 2 miles of the thriving small town of Dulverton, with its boutique shops, a butcher, bakery, supermarket, cafes, restaurants, and pubs. It is a perfect location for those wishing to walk or cycle in this awe-inspiring landscape, with fantastic trails to explore directly from the accommodation’s front door. If fishing is your hobby, Exe Valley Fly Fishing is just a 25 minute walk away, 3 minutes by car. For those looking for more hustle and bustle, the seaside town of Minehead is 18.5 miles away and offers a range of shops, attractions, and a sandy beach, or Tiverton is 12.5 miles. Upon entering the beautiful property, you are greeted by a small hall. Turn left and head into the lounge which overlooks the garden and boasts a wood burner for those cooler evenings – settle in for a snug evening with a tipple and a film on the Smart TV. The lounge leads back to the hall and into the well-equipped kitchen/diner, which is perfect for trying out new recipes or old family favourites. It is equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer. Heading up the steep cottage-style stairs, you will find a beautiful king-size bedroom built into the eaves of the property. There is a spacious en-suite shower room with a large shower and WC. Completing the accommodation on this floor is a lavish dressing room, which could also be used as a study space.
Stepping outside from the front door is an enclosed garden with a table and chairs. The garden is a perfect spot to enjoy some al fresco dining or a place to relax and enjoy a glass of wine. Across the lane, there is a shared meadow and small river where you are welcome to sit or have a wander, but please be aware there are free-range bantams in the meadow. There is an allocated parking space for one car opposite the cottage with additional parking by the church, within half a mile (subject to availability).
