Situated in a peaceful and beautiful part of Mid Devon this superb lodge nestles in a shallow valley close to Tiverton. Perfectly placed, and easily accessible, they are great for a weekend or mid-week getaway offering a relaxing retreat. Bring the dogs, partake in a touch of coarse fishing or just enjoy a slower pace of life. There is so much to see and do nearby, Exeter is a short drive and here you can visit the stunning cathedral or just wander the variety of shops, restaurants and amenities. Closer to home, the town of Tiverton boasts a pretty canal and from here you can hire a barge for the day. Walkers will also be in their element with the Blackdown Hills an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and both Exmoor and Dartmoor National Parks all within each reach. Beach lovers can explore the world-renowned Jurassic coastline, including picturesque Lyme Regis, and the pretty seaside resorts of Sidmouth and Branscombe. There are also many National Trust Properties in the area including the Killerton and Knightshayes.

Stepping into the lodge you are immediately greeted by a bright and airy open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with stylish furnishings and elegant touches, comfy sofas, a wood burner and TV allow for cosy evenings and the large dining room with floor to ceiling sliding doors allow for sunshine breakfasts and al fresco lunches. The well-equipped kitchen has everything you need including an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. The utility room has a washing machine and tumble dryer and ample space for coats, walking boots and dog baskets. Two of the bedrooms are spacious and have super-king-size zip-and-link beds (which can be made into twins on request), the third bedroom is a king-size and all the bedrooms have sliding doors leading out to the decking. Each bedroom also has its own stylish en-suite, two of the bedrooms have a free standing, contemporary bath and wet room shower and WC, and one bedroom has a wet room shower & WC.

Heading outside is a decked area and patio with garden furniture and a private hot-tub. Ample off-road parking for two cars.

  • Arrival: 16:00 onwards
  • Departure: before 10:00, unless otherwise stated in your arrival details
  • 3 dogs allowed. Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week
  • There is an Accidental Damage Deposit of £250 when booking at this property, however this may be waived for £30. We’ll provide more details about this when booking your holiday.

These are great lodges, really spacious bedrooms all with own bathrooms, very modern. Views are fabulous across the lake if you have a fisherman in your group they will not be disappointed. We went to celebrate a birthday so made our own entertainment, hot tub was great used a few times, had 3 dogs with us lots of grass for them to enjoy.

Well equipped lodge with great views. The lodge is very well served by the kitchen equipment , dining table and sofas . Each bedroom was very nice with quality beds and top spec en-suite bathrooms. Hot tub was a lovely bonus with a view over the lake and the Williow tree

We really enjoyed our stay. The lodge was high spec, comfortable and clean with commanding views across a nearby lake. The tranquil setting was ideal. We have just had a lovely week at West Pitt Lodge and lakes. So much so we have booked another week for next year. The Lodge was just perfect, home from home. Fishing was good too! Nothing to fault at all. 20 minutes' walk to the local pub, The Globe and local Spar, with great directions from the owners, on the in-house information. Beautiful setting and our lodge had every comfort we required. The kitchen was very well equipped especially for foodies if you like to self cater to a high level as we did. This is a really lovely place to stay. We actually stayed here before 2 years ago but it was booked by our daughter last time. We had a great family holiday. Our 6 year old Grandson loved it and was upset to go home. It's private and peaceful. Everything is of the highest quality and is extremely clean and well cared for. We have just returned from a fantastic holiday, everything about this holiday home is perfect. Beds are super comfortable, kitchen is well equipped, showers are fantastic.
