Situated in a peaceful and beautiful part of Mid Devon this superb lodge nestles in a shallow valley close to Tiverton. Perfectly placed, and easily accessible, they are great for weekend or mid-week getaway, offering a hassle free and relaxing retreat. Bring the dogs, partake in a touch of coarse fishing or just enjoy a slower pace of life. There is so much to see and do nearby, Exeter is a short drive and here you can visit the stunning cathedral or just wander the variety of shops, restaurants and amenities. Closer to home, the town of Tiverton boasts a pretty canal and from here you can hire a barge for the day. Walkers will also be in their element with the Blackdown Hills an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and both Exmoor and Dartmoor National Parks all within each reach. Beach lovers can explore the world-renowned Jurassic coastline, including picturesque Lyme Regis, and the pretty seaside resorts of Sidmouth and Branscombe. There are also many National Trust Properties in the area including the Killerton and Knightshayes.

Stepping into the lodge you are immediately greeted by a bright and airy open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with stylish furnishings and elegant touches, comfy sofas, a wood burner and TV allow for cosy evenings and the large dining room with floor to ceiling sliding doors allow for sunshine breakfasts and al fresco lunches. The well-equipped kitchen has everything you need including an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge and freezer as well as a dishwasher. The utility room has a washing machine and tumble dryer and ample space for coats walking boots or dog baskets. Both of the bedrooms are spacious and have 1 super-king-size zip-and-link beds (which can be made into twins on request) and 1 king size and both bedrooms have sliding doors leading out to the decking. Each bedroom also has its own stylish en-suite, with free standing, contemporary bath and wet room shower and WC.

Heading outside is a decked area and patio with garden furniture and a private hot-tub. Ample off-road parking for two cars.

  • 3 dogs allowed. Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week
  • There is an Accidental Damage Deposit of £200 when booking at this property, however this may be waived for £25. We’ll provide more details about this when booking your holiday.

We stayed in Willow lodge for a long weekend to celebrate some birthdays. The lodge is lovely and the hosts were very welcoming and friendly. Picking February for a weekend away of course came with a lot of rain! I would recommend packing wellies/walking boots and waterproofs if you want to explore around the lake. The view of the lake from the lodRead morege was perfect and it was lovely to admire it from the dining table. And we loved having the hot tub to use. Thank you for a great weekend. Hide

Excellent area to be based in for exploring the surrounding areas. A very Picturesque & quiet spot. Clean and modern, some signs of wear but nothing to complain about. Milk, tea, coffee left in fridge and a few cleaning supplies was a nice gesture. My only suggestion would be to have had some local produce included. The lodge (Willow) was perfect - so much thought has gone into it, even down to providing washing tablets and other essentials which you may have forget to pack. Had a lovely stay for Xmas, lodge was very nice and warm! We walked to the local pub and had a nice lunch and a few drinks. We did not fish on our stay but the lakes looked really nice and peaceful.

Great location, we loved spending time at the lodge and exploring the grounds and the dog loved having so much space on our doorstep. The lodge was well equipped and the hot tub was a fantastic bonus. We explored the local area, including Tiverton, Ilfracombe, Cheddar Gorge, West Molton and Paignton. Brilliant Holiday! The location was superb. My husband and son were fishing every day and caught some big fish! Even our little dachshund, Coco, was enjoying herself immensely. We returned a few days ago from a fortnight spent at Cabana Lakeside Lodge No 4. This is the smallest of 4 detached, single-storey and self-contained properties on the site: it sleeps 4 whereas the other 3 properties sleep 6 each. It is located no more than 10 minutes from the M5, but dont let that put you off. The properties are nearly 600ft aboveRead more sea level and set in a hollow in the hillside.
