This beautiful reverse-level cottage has been thoughtfully designed and furnished to give you the most amazing stay. It’s nestled in a rural setting, yet only 3 miles from the popular county town of Taunton.

Nearby Taunton, the County Town of Somerset, is 3 miles from this retreat and has extensive shopping, restaurants, leisure facilities and the County Cricket ground. Taunton's racecourse is half a mile away. There are wonderful walks to be enjoyed directly from the property which meander through a rural landscape with country pubs to be found en route. The central location makes it perfect for visiting both coastlines including Watchet (21 miles) and Blue Anchor (24 miles) to the north and the popular seaside towns of Lyme Regis (25 miles) and Sidmouth (26.5 miles) to the south. Head to Bishops Lydeard (9 miles) and jump on the West Somerset Railway, which chugs merrily through the countryside ending at Minehead Beach – it’s a real step back in time.

Set in the grounds of the owners’ small farm, this beautiful reverse-level cottage is accessed via the enclosed courtyard garden. Step inside and enter straight into the light and airy king-size bedroom with an en-suite bathroom with a bath, separate shower and WC. Head up the stairs from the bedroom to the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with an enchanting Juliet balcony that takes in sweeping views over fields. Settle in for a snug evening with a feast, a bottle of wine and a film on the Smart TV. The perfectly equipped kitchen has an electric oven and two-ring hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave and breakfast bar seating two – it is a great space for cooking lazy breakfasts or trying out new recipes.

Outside there is an enclosed, walled courtyard garden, great for both you and your four-legged friend to relax in. Guests will find a table and chairs, a charcoal BBQ as well a hot tub, which is particularly inviting at night, when guests can enjoy the warm bubbling water under the star-filled skies. Just 100 metres away in the owner's grounds there is an unenclosed pond, please take care here. There is off-road parking available for one car.

My partner and I booked the cottage for my birthday weekend and it was the best choice weve made. The cottage is beautiful, set in a idyllic location and was so comfortable and clean with everything we needed. The hot tub was fab, especially at night under all the stars! Ian was a perfect host; friendly, approachable and left us some lovely farm egRead moregs for breakfast and Prosecco for my birthday which was such a thoughtful touch. Lovely place to stay, very peaceful,just bird and animal sounds which suited us. Very clean through out. The bedroom downstairs was cool in the hot weather and the bed was very comfortable .The big sofa was perfect to relax in and the kitchen had everything we needed. The hot tub was a welcome treat and the little courtyard was very private. Ian waRead mores very friendly and full of local knowledge. Had an absolutely amazing stay in the cottage ! Location was perfect with the main town being 8 mins away and each coast being 40 mins away. Hosts were very welcoming and loved staying on the farm. Lovely eggs left on arrival and the hot tub was the best part. Local pubs were really nice and would recommend Otter Valley Dairy for the best icecream Read more! Hide

Great views from the upstairs lounge window. The cottage was spotlessly clean and everything we needed was there. We particularly enjoyed the hot tub which was also very clean.

What a lovely little cottage we loved the location and the privacy, Fully recommended if you want a chilled away from it all break and the hot tub was a real treat . The cottage is cosy and well equipped and the fresh farm eggs were a welcome treat for breakfast.

The cottage was really cosy and lovely to stay in. We had a slight issue with the tv getting a signal so had to watch stuff on an iPad but it wasnt a massive issue. The hot tub was lovely to get in during the evening. Had a couple of issues with water going cold whilst showering so had to wash the old fashioned way with a jug but we made sure afterRead morewards to shower quick. Had the hearing on in the bedroom the whole time and it was always chilly down there, not much heat was coming out even on 6. Hide

The accommodation was lovely. We left feeling rested, which was what we needed. Everything we needed was there. The owner was a top bloke, knew the local area well, and ensured we knew all that was needed. Cannot recommend this enough.

We had a fantastic stay at Duddlestone Farm. Ian is an incredible host. The location is perfect, the space is clean, it has everything you could possibly need. Added bonuses being the hot tub and pet friendly! Would highly recommend and can wait to book our next stay here.
