This beautiful detached barn conversion is situated in a quiet spot for those requiring a relaxing holiday with walks directly from the property and in a perfect location for touring the whole area.

Upon entering the beautiful accommodation, you will be greeted by a hall with a useful space to hang coats and leave muddy shoes after a walk in the countryside. Continue up the stairs, from there you will find that the accommodation is all on one level. The lounge/diner features a flame effect electric fire and freeview TV so you can relax in the evening in front of your favourite programmes. There are also french doors that open into the courtyard garden, this is also a way into the barn conversion for those that find stairs difficult as there is a gradual sloping pathway to the property. The well-equipped kitchen has an electric oven and gas hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and washing machine. There is also a stable door where you can let the outside in on sunny days, which leads to an enclosed decked terrace. The spacious king-size bedroom looks out over the courtyard garden. The contemporary bathroom has a shower over the bath and a WC.

Venturing outside from the lounge/diner is a small pretty courtyard garden with seating where you can enjoy your morning coffee and an al fresco breakfast. Leading from the kitchen is an enclosed decked terrace which also has seating and is a perfect spot to make the most of the evening sun with a glass of wine. You are very welcome to enjoy exploring the owners large landscaped garden which leads to a pretty stream overlooking neighbouring fields with seating areas. Parking for one car can be found in the gravelled driveway shared only with the owners.

Our hosts were friendly and made us feel very welcome. The property was beautifully presented and very well equipped which made our stay comfortable and relaxing. Parking was easy, a factor I always look for when renting a property. We were delighted with the cottage and garden area. The hosts Steve and Frances were friendly and informative. The garden was a haven for bird life. The cottage was spacious and wanted for nothing. We fully expect to return again.

We had a very pleasant holiday staying at Farthings Barn. It is spacious and very nicely furnished and all out needs were catered for. The owners Steve and Frances are a delightful couple and made us very welcome. We found all aspects of the cottage superb in every way. The hosts could not have made us more welcome. The rooms were ideally set out and suited us perfectly. The outside area, including a very inviting garden was just perfect. Although we were out every day of our stay because the weather made it possible, there is no doubt that had we preferred Read moreto stay inside, we would have had all the home-comforts we could wish for.
