This detached chalet-style bungalow is set in an elevated position within the grounds of the owner’s large Edwardian home and has been fully refurbished to a high standard throughout.

Nestling in the coastal village of Blue Anchor, with its large beach, two pubs serving food, traditional cafes, convenience store and historic West Somerset steam railway that runs from Minehead to Bishops Lydeard, which is a short walk away. Walkers and wildlife lovers can enjoy the coastal and countryside walks direct from the property, the Quantock Hills and Brendon Hills are within a short drive. The quaint village of Porlock and the medieval town of Dunster, with its National Trust castle, are well worth a visit. Exmoor National Park, famous for some of the most breathtaking scenery is less than 1 mile. Likewise the South West Coast Path is easily accessible from Blue Anchor.

The beautiful accommodation is approached via a few steps down from the garden, views of which can be enjoyed from the property. Upon entering the single story property you are greeted with a light and airy open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, in the summer you can open the patio doors to let the outside in and in the cooler months create a cosier feel with the contemporary electric effect fire. Here you can relax on the comfy sofas while watching your favourite TV programme or DVD. The well-equipped kitchen/dining area has an electric oven, fridge with ice-compartment, dishwasher, microwave and washer/dryer which is perfect for breakfast and light suppers. From the lounge area you will enter into the double bedroom. There is also a delightful shower room with WC at the other end of the living area.

Venturing outside there are attractive shared landscaped gardens and a shared unheated swimming pool available to use between the 22nd June – 31st August. Allocated off-road parking can be found at the front of the property.

we had the a fantastic week weather wise and managed a walk every day with some wonderful views. The cottage has everything that you could want including the pool. Nigel and Paula are the perfect hosts and we will been making another visit.

Excellent cottage in beautiful location. Well equiped and exceptionally quiet. Which suited us just fine. Less than 5 mins to the seafront. Perfect and welcoming hosts

This was the best holiday cottage we have ever stayed in. It was fully equipped with everything and more and really clean. The location is perfect for walking in the local area especially Tarr Steps, Lorna Doone valley and The valley of the Rocks. There is nothing negative about our week here to say. It was just perfect and we will return.

Property was easy to find and easy access i.e. not to many narrow roads . Owners friendly and helpful , allocated parking space also. Nice place for peace and quiet break . Easy access to Minehead if you wanted to eat out or shop for food etc .Would highly recommend .

If you want a quiet stay, but in a perfect location for a base to enjoy the area, this is the place to stay. The lodge has everything you need, is clean and tidy, well equipt and a joy to stay at.
