Very tastefully restored and well equipped. Bed particularly comfortable. Well located on the edge of town. Everywhere, including bus station, just a short walk away. Not being able to use the garden with dog a disadvantage but it is very tiny and exposed to the other cottages anyway. People in Wells very friendly. Most places dog friendly except ORead morexfam bookshop! Parking difficult at busy times so we parked on first day and left it. Used the bus. Plenty to do in Wells and lots of lovely walks. Hide

Cottage was nice, clean, cosy Loved the optimist "log burner" Parking was the only bugbear, but usually found somewhere in the street behind the cottage.

We wanted a cottage near the centre of Wells as we were visiting friends nearby. The location was perfect - an easy walk to everywhere and a large Morrisons supermarket just around the corner. In fact there were 4 supermarkets within easy walking distance. The cottage was very cosy and possibly the best-equipped we have ever experienced with a loveRead morely welcome pack of locally-produced items. A definite home from home. Hide

Lovely little property. Owners have looked after it with beautiful attention to detail. We struggled with comfort on sofa and chair but most people perhaps don't spend too much time on sofa. It was a little disappointing that a dog friendly property there were signs stating not to use shared garden as loo which meant walking dog at bedtime for a weRead moree which was a shame. I expected to be able to use the garden. Hide

Same date, only a year later, and here we are at Green Place again. And once more it is like being at home, simply feeling good. We knew we would find a cottage where a lot of great and small amenities had been thought of, and which was kept extremely tidy. It is simply perfect, and again we were having a gorgeous time in Green Place and in Wells. Read moreManfred & Beate from Korb Hide
