Delightful single-storey property sleeping two, situated next to the owner’s home in the village of Wedmore in Somerset, with pubs and shops within strolling distance.

This property is located in the village of Wedmore in North Somerset, just a few miles from the historic town of Glastonbury. Known for its links to the legendary King Arthur, with the town’s now ruinous abbey said to be his resting place, Glastonbury makes for a fascinating place for a day trip, with its quirky shops, numerous eateries, and its peaceful Chalice Well Gardens. Ten miles to the west of the property, the seaside resort of Burnham-on-Sea has a wide sandy beach, and is in fact part of the second-longest strip of sand in Europe, ensuring there is always plenty of space to relax, sunbathe, and swim. Further afield, yet still within easy driving distance, there are plenty more places of interest including Cheddar Gorge and the cathedral city of Wells. This single storey property is located next to the owners’ home, and makes a great place for a quiet break. The main living area is the light-filled open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, which has patio doors opening onto the garden. The lounge area is furnished with two comfortable armchairs from which guests can enjoy the TV/DVD, whilst the dining area has a table seating two. The kitchen area, meanwhile is equipped with an oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, and washing machine. The bedroom, which located just off from the living area, has a double bed and views over the garden, next to which is a shower room with shower cubicle and WC. Outside, guests have use of an enclosed garden which is partially set to lawn, and also offers a patioed area with garden seating and a BBQ, making it a lovely space to sit back and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. There is parking for one car.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

This cottage was perfect in every way for us and our two dogs. A safe track to walk them at night. Peace and quiet and Lesley's helpful and no fuss approach was much appreciated. Lovely location with an enclosed garden for the dogs. Very dog friendly. Owner very friendly and helpful. Within walking distance of the village of Wedmore but not suitable for people with mobility issues as roads quite steep and lack of pavements. Comfortable, light and airy - perfect for a couple. Would definitely go again.

This is a delightful place to stay. We were made very welcome on arrival and given a basket of tasty goodies for humans and dogs. The enclosed garden is secure and both dogs enjoyed their stay. There are walks close by. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and really comfortable. Thank you so much Lesley and Trixie.

Hill Crest Cottage is a lovely light and airy cottage. We were given a warm welcome by the owner and found many unexpected provisions (milk, bread, cake etc). It is well situated for many local attractions, the Cheddar Gorge, Glastonbury, Wells, Bath, and only twenty minutes from the sea, but check the tide timetable to avoid disappointment.
