This delightful cottage is a perfect retreat for walkers and nature lovers, and there is a wealth of varied footpaths to choose from. You could enjoy fishing or bird watching on Chew Valley Lake, or you might visit the nearby historic cities of Wells and Bath, or discover one of the many local attractions such as Wookey Hole Caves, Cheddar Gorge, Clarks Village, Horseworld and Longleat Safari Park. The popular city of Bristol is within easy reach, with its many attractions such as the Clifton Suspension Bridge and the SS Great Britain. There are also plenty of golf courses to choose from, and a nearby leisure centre.

On entering this charming former farm cottage you will find the comfy and welcoming lounge, with wood burner effect electric fire, TV, DVD and French doors offering a delightful view of the large garden. Exploring further, the attractive and elegantly designed kitchen/diner is well-equipped with oven, microwave, fridge and washing machine, and is a perfect place for enjoying a special meal. Moving to the first floor, you will find three cosy bedrooms. There’s a comfortable and bright double bedroom and two spacious singles. You will also find a bathroom with WC on the first floor, and a ground-floor WC with shower.

Stepping outside from the lounge via the French doors, you will find yourself in a large, private, enclosed garden, complete with garden furniture, which is an ideal space for children to run about in, or for grown-ups relaxing with a meal or a glass of wine at the end of the day. Guests are welcome to bring their own BBQ.

We absolutely loved our stay at Ivy Cottage, very warm, homely and comfortable to which it meet all our needs. There was more to the house than one would think and the new bathroom was quite a surprise. The location was perfect for us and the only noise we heard were Owls in early hours which was lovely to hear. 2nd visit. We've already booked a 3rd and 4th. Terrific, spacious cottage in outstanding location. Suggest drop the car at the park & ride, and take the bus into Bristol or Bath.

Lovely rural cottage. Big rooms, well equipped. Only down side are the narrow roads that come naturally with such place. As mentioned in other review, planes do fly directly overhead but wasn't a problem for me as its winter n windows r closed. But at this price u really cant complain that much, just wear earplugs if u r a light sleeper.

We had a wonderful time staying at this beautiful cottage. It was cosy and very comfortable. We were nice and warm even though the weather outside was cold. It is very well equipped. We instantly felt at home and loved our stay. We would definitely visit again. We think that it deserves more stars in the website's rating.

We had a very relaxing, chilled out holiday with a very spacious and private garden to sit and chill. The cottage is fully equipped and met all our needs, all in all we will be happy to go back and holiday again at the cottage

Really enjoyed the week staying here. Such a pretty & peaceful village. (The planes overhead were not a problem.) Very impressed by the way the cottage is equipped. Ivy Cottage is a lovely place to stay, in a wonderful, peaceful location. The hamlet is pretty, and there is an excellent cycle route nearby. You're within a stone's throw of Bristol and Bath, and also the lovely lake at Chew Valley. All in all, this is an instant favourite.

Absolutely gorgeous cottage with an amazing rear garden, the photos don't do it justice! We loved our stay in Ivy Cottage and intend to return. Although planes flew overhead to Bristol Airport they did not disturb us at all and we did not need the earplugs that were kindly provided. Two bathrooms were useful, one with shower and one with a bath. GrRead moreeat location close to Keynsham and ideally situated to visit Bristol or Bath. The cottage was wonderful, very clean and comfortable . It had everything one could need for our stay. The provision of cleaning products and other items for use in the kitchen was fantastic. We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend it.

Great fully detached holiday property, well stocked with kitchen equipment and cleaning chemicals which made it home from home. Garden was huge and plenty of space to play games in the garden with the children. Located very close to both Bath and Bristol. Plenty of parking space and very quiet area.

We stayed at Ivy cottage during the summer of 2022 and loved the place. The walnut trees gave shade during high temperatures. Cycling is great in the area if you stay off the main roads. Visits to Bath, Bristol, the arboretum and the canals is excellent for a day trip.

Lovely house but in need of an upgrade in the lounge as sofa seats have sunk so uncomfortable and tv is small for that size room. **Be aware that the owners fail to say when advertising that the house is in the flight path to/from Bristol Airport. We were there for a week but had hardly any sleep due to being woken up every morning from around 0315Read more due to planes overhead, every 15-20 mins. Flights continue all day and one morning finished at approx 0100 and started again at 0315. Hide
