This lovely coastal home is on the edge of Minehead and West Somerset golf course, close to the beach.

On a complex with one other holiday property, this one level property is in an enviable location. It backs onto the popular golf course, and it’s a level walk to the centre of the seaside town of Minehead, providing a great base for exploring West Somerset. Minehead boasts a wealth of shops, pubs and restaurants, as well as it’s famous long, sandy beach, while the quaint village of Porlock and the medieval town of Dunster are also nearby. Keen walkers have plenty of options, with Exmoor National Park, The Quantocks and the South West Coast Path all easily accessible from the property. Watermouth Castle, the Valley of the Rocks and the West Somerset Steam Railway are also worth a visit. Relax next to the woodburner in the cosy lounge/diner, which really feels like a home from home. The first batch of logs are included, while further logs can be bought direct from the owner. In the lounge area you’ll also find a TV and DVD - perfect for a quiet night in or perhaps a rainy day - as well as a small dining table to the side, which is ideal for the two of you to enjoy an evening meal. The kitchen has everything you could need during your stay, including a gas oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and washer/dryer. The bedroom is a spacious super-king-size zip-and-link (which can be made into a twin on request), while the shower room has a shower and WC. Outside you’ll find a quaint enclosed courtyard garden with garden furniture where you can relax in the fresh Somerset air on a sunny day. There’s also ample parking available at the property.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Lovely peaceful stay next to the golf course and Butlins in a dead end road. Occasion noise heard from Butlins but not an issue. Clean modern house. Super to be able to walk to the beach, with a handy footpath 200m away that takes you up between the golf course and the start of the promenade to the coastal path. Although it says it is not an officiRead moreal dog beach, the locals seem to think that the beach behind the golf course is OK to use. Close by amenities.Super network of bridleways around. Hide

This simple but lovely holiday home provides a secluded haven for people and dogs, close to the beach and easy walking distance to the town. The log burner is a great plus and the garden a peaceful sun trap. We were able to relax, chill out, explore and enjoy each day.

A truly excellent property for 2 people and their dogs. The garden's fully enclosed and private which I find essential for my 2 dogs. The super-king bed was extremely comfortable - I want one at home now!! Nice large, powerful and refreshing shower. The beach is wonderfully close. All of the local shops like Tesco, Morrisons and Lidl are just a shoRead morert stroll. We did have really good weather (which helps any holiday) and we were able to sit in the garden every day :) :) Hide

Cottage has private enclosed courtyard. We had 2 dogs with us & the 5mins walk to the beach was perfect. We went in October, the weather was mixed with chilly nights & we found the cottage cosy & warm. Furnishings very nice & decent size bathroom with big shower. Plenty to do in & around Minehead.

We would thoroughly recommend this property. We arrived to not only milk in the fridge but a lovely welcome card and bottle is red wine.... lovely touch. The location is perfect for out of season beach walks with dogs. It is close to Butlins so could imagine in summer season it may not be so quiet, just something to consider. We were rather disappointed in that at 6.30am everyday including weekends we were woken by engines running, metal against metal grating, vehicle reversing warning sirens and various other indeterminate noises from the rear of Butlins which seemed louder than a builders yard. The garden was enclosed and good for our dog. The creeper over the roof waRead mores coming in the windows making closing difficult. The owner was quick to respond to problems we had. Hide
