This delightful semi-detached property, has been purpose built and lovingly furnished by the owner. It provides a fabulous base for couples and small families looking to explore the area.

Perfectly situated, you will be within walking distance of the local pub and also Shapwick Heath Nature Reserve perfect for dog walking. The location allows for walks immediately from the property, bird watching, cycling and stargazing all nearby. Alternatively, just a short drive away discover the truly unique town of Glastonbury, renowned for its diverse range of independent shops, Chalice Well Gardens, abbey and legendary tor. Wells, the smallest city in England and famed for its Cathedral and Bishops Palace is also close by and well worth a visit. Other attractions in the area include Wookey Hole Caves, Cheddar Gorge or enjoy discount shopping at the Clarks Village and Kilver Court.

Step inside this pretty property which adjoins the owners’ home and you will immediately find yourself in the foyer which boasts a lovely stone floor and useful storage for your coats and boots. This then leads into the light and spacious lounge/kitchen/diner. The lounge area has a contemporary sofa with a double sofa bed where you can watch a film on the TV/DVD. The kitchen area is also beautifully presented and well-equipped and offers an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge with ice compartment, dishwasher and a washing machine. Heading back out to the foyer and just before you head up the stairs and onto the first floor, you will find a modern bathroom with a hand held shower over the bath and WC. Venturing up the stairs and onto the first floor the space opens to a fabulous loft style bedroom with sloping ceiling, double bed and even an en-suite shower room with WC. On the ground floor there is also a single bedroom.

Located directly outside there is a small patio area with seating, and then further to this, guests can enjoy access to an enclosed designated section of orchard with garden furniture and a charcoal BBQ, where you can sit and watch the sheep grazing in the rest. Private allocated parking for two cars is provided directly in front of the property.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

The cottage was very clean and finished to a high standard we would not hesitate to stay here again the hosts we're very friendly and helpful and the welcome pack was a very nice touch

The location of this cottage is amazing and cannot be faulted. There are many things to do without driving for miles! It is in a very quiet location although a public right of way does pass the front of the cottage, this was not an issue. Parking was easy! We had a lovely week away from the daily grind!

The cottage was a lovely place to stay. It was decorated to a high standard and very comfortable. Although it is in a quiet location it is ideal for reaching a large number of places of interest such as Cheddar Gorge, Wells and Glastonbury. This virtually brand new holiday home attached to the owner's property is just lovely. Lovingly built by the owner to a very high standard. An added of bonus of two bathrooms. whilst there is no garden as such there is a little sheltered area by the front door where you can catch the sun. there is a picnic table in the orchard out to the front of tRead morehe cottage which is in the sun all day! Orchard View was a delightful cottage, very clean, quiet and comfortable and well situated for the Avalon Marches. The cottage is relatively new and in excellent condition, with some nice touches. This is a beautiful cottage, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be recommending it to friends and family. The owners are lovely, they couldn't be more helpful and we knew if we did have any issues they would be sorted. A good location for loads of places to visit so no long travel times to get somewhere.
