Charming detached barn with unspoilt views that can be enjoyed from the sun-trapped patio. The location provides a great taste of rural life, yet the pretty town of Crewkerne is just a short drive.

The great thing about this location is that you are close to the borders where three beautiful counties meet Somerset, Devon and Dorset. The amazing Jurassic Coast runs along the length of the east Devon coast from Budleigh Salterton into Dorset at Lyme Regis and from there on towards Chesil Beach. Inland there is much to do with historic houses dotting the gentle countryside. From the nature reserves on the Somerset Levels to the wide expanses of the Quantock Hills leading to the west Somerset coast, there are great outings for all. You could spend an afternoon fishing at the nearby Chard reservoir or visit Chard equestrian centre that is within walking distance. There is even a spa and golf course just a short drive away where you can buy a day pass to use many of the facilities.

Upon entering this detached stone barn conversion, you are greeted with a light and airy open-plan space, with two sets of French doors opening onto the beautiful sunny south-facing patio. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner boasts exposed beams and high ceilings, it is a perfect space to relax on the comfy sofas while reading a book or watching your favourite TV programme. Start your day with a hearty breakfast in the well-equipped kitchen/diner area which has an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. There is a utility cupboard housing the washer/dryer just outside the shower room. The contemporary open-plan design offers the flexibility of the king-size bedroom and shower room with shower and WC on the ground floor and the single bedroom is privately tucked away on one of two mezzanine levels. The king-size bedroom enjoys rural views from the French doors, which can be opened to let the outside in. The second mezzanine level can be used for a quiet space, why not try your hand at a spot of Pilates, or it can conveniently be used for storing cases, so you feel like you’ve properly unpacked.

Venturing outside, there is an elevated private south facing patio with outside seating, which gives guests a great place to sit out and enjoy the tranquil surroundings. Additionally, guests have access to the owner's 24 acres of land with footpaths, trickling streams that lead to a pond and superior countryside views. You will also have your own private driveway with off-road parking for 1 car. Property is situated at the end of a single track lane.

Lovely from the outside and lovely inside, very roomy. Due to the heavy rain on numerous days didnt get the chance to sit outside to admire the views as much as I would have liked. Lovely.
