LUXURY GROUND-FLOOR APARTMENT OVERLOOKING RIVER

This semi-detached stylish apartment is situated on an adults only touring park and offers couples a private and peaceful holiday retreat within walking distance of the unique village of Cheddar with its distinguishing feature, the natural phenomenon of Britain’s largest gorge.

The village was made popular by the railway known as the Strawberry Line, because it passed close by the many strawberry growing fields on the south west facing slopes on the Cheddar side of the valley. "Strawberry Special" trains ferried the fruits to all parts of the country until the line was axed in 1965. Strawberries are still grown there today and, when in season, are available to buy from stalls on the roadside between Cheddar, Draycott, Rodney Stoke and Westbury-sub-Mendip. The line is now a long distance footpath. Today, the village and gorge provide shopping and leisure opportunities for all ages. The gorge is in the top 10 attractions nationally and is only 10 minutes walk away.

The spacious accommodation offers ONE large king-size bedroom with TV. Shower room: with large walk-in shower and WC. Lounge/diner: open-plan with bi-folding doors opening up onto decked/patio area, large flatscreen TV, DVD and CD player. Separate kitchen is well-equipped with electric cooker and hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, pod coffee machine (Dolce Gousto) and microwave. Outside: private decked/patio area overlooking river with garden furniture. Bed linen, towels, electric, central heating and Wi-Fi included. Regret no smoking. Regret no pets. A very well appointed apartment,comfortable and beautifully decorated.Parking out side the door. Decked area overlooking the river,mallards,kingfishers and song birds. The site is well laid out,and all the communal areas are kept in tip top condition.

A lovely place, we really enjoyed our stay. The folding doors onto the outside seating area were a reason we chose this apartment, apparently they had been defective since July, very disappointing.

Lovely stay at Riverside. Ideal location for exploring Cheddar and surrounding areas. We were blessed with sunny weather so enjoyed sitting outside on the decked area next to the river, watching the wildlife; we saw kingfishers and an otter! A lovely spacious accomodation. Everything there that you need for your stay. Staff at reception very helpful. A perfect base to stay if wanting to explore Cheddar Gorge or Wells Cathedral and Bishops Palace.

We spent a lovely week in the apartment which had everything we needed, the bedd was extremely comfortable, the kitchen very well equipped, the bathroom had a lovely big shower and everything was very clean. Had a lovely break at the Riverside Appartment. The accommodation is clean and comfortable, it's an ideal base for all the local attractions in the region. The owners were welcoming and friendly. The site is maintained well and peaceful. We would recommend the apartment if you plan to visit the area.

Very comfortable and easy to relax in. Within easy walking distance of several pubs, Cheddar Gorge and Cheddar Brewery. And only a short drive from Wells, Glastonbury, Wookey Hole and much more.

We found the apartment to be spacious and comfortable with everything we needed for out stay. The bed had a decent mattress, the shower had good water pressure and there was plenty of storage space to unpack our belongings into. The deck area was huge with very pretty views. We walked to a pub and to Tesco which took around ten minutes. Driving timRead moree to Wells, Glastonbury and Weston Super Mare all took about half an hour. Absolutely lovely property situated on a nice caravan and camping park. The apartment was spotlessly clean and extremely well equipped with everything you would ever need on holiday. A spacious, comfortable and well equipped Appartment with a lovely private seating area by the river. It was a perfect set up for us as we met up with family in their motor home on the same site. If we are that way again we would not hesitate to book again.
