Lovingly converted barn provides a relaxing getaway in an Area of Natural Outstanding Beauty. Walking routes and wildlife make a perfect location for those wanting to experience nature at its finest.

This sympathetically developed barn conversion has been lovingly transformed into a modern style living space with integrations of wooden furnishings and ceiling beams offering a tranquil and awe-inspiring idyllic rural surroundings in the Area of Natural Outstanding Beauty. Located on the edge of the Quantocks situated near stunning locations such as Exmoor with its wild ponies and red deer; quaint villages are also nearby such as Dunster where you can visit the Dunster Castle. Other amenities here are tea shops, ice cream shops and a working water on the River Avill.

Entering the rustic red brick building from the bi-folding front door opens up the large open plan interior; the initial area will be the snug lounge complete with a sofa, armchair and TV. This area has a wood burner and has DVD capabilities. Beside the living area is the open plan kitchen/diner decorated in a modern mix of white, black and oak furnishings. The kitchen includes electric oven and hob, fridge, microwave and dishwasher. The dining area contains a wooden table with cushioned seats. Up two stairs from the kitchen is the king size bedroom complete with bedside unit and body length mirror. The bathroom contains a sink, WC and a large walk in shower. Underfloor heating is available. Outside there is an enclosed garden with an eco wood-fired hot tub, patio area, garden furniture (table and chairs) and a BBQ. Ample private off-road parking is available as well as lockable facilities for bikes.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

I stayed at the cottage for a period of 4 nights 5 days. It would be an understatement to say, the cottage was home away from home. Beautifully presented barn conversion. It was well thought out & had everything we needed. It felt comfortable & luxurious at the same time. Our big dog was very happy there too. We had a short break but managed to get to see a lot & rest too.

this is a lovely cottage with secure fencing all round for people with dogs, it is very peaceful and private with plenty of walks on its doorstep and has great views all round, the owner karen was very pleasant and is situated close to the A38 so no problems visiting other areas and loads of places to visit, the nearest town with shops aRead morend pubs etc is only a mile away down very quiet roads will definitely re visit. If you need somewhere to stay in the Somerset Area then look no further than this property. Ideal location for day trips (read the visitor book for ideas plenty in there ) my favourite was the trip to Wells and then onto Cheddar Gorge .

We had the best holidays in the UK ever, not just because the weather was amazing but because the cottage was awesome. The hot tub is a great addition and we used it almost every day. I cannot recommend this cottage enough it has everything you could possibly need. Modern but charming in a beautiful location. We went sign seeing everyday perfect base for a relaxing holiday and our dog enjoyed it just as much as we did!

Excellent property, great location and Karen was very helpful when we arrived and throughout our stay. The house was stocked with everything we needed - including things we didnt even realise we needed! Loved the personal touches of fresh eggs and biscuits for the dog.

Shepherds Croft was idyllic a beautiful home away from home that was a perfect place to unwind . The eco tub was a real bonus and so much better than a noisy jacuzzi star gazing from the hot tub listening to your music - you just cant beat it !
