Lovingly renovated annexe providing a relaxing getaway where no attention to detail has been forgotten. A perfect location for those wanting to experience the countryside at its finest, yet with lots to discover on the doorstep.

This wonderful escape is situated in one of the most popular parts of Somerset, midway between Wells and Glastonbury. Wells is the smallest city in England and is famed for its cathedral and Bishops Palace while Glastonbury is renowned for its Tor and Abbey Ruins, and both have a lovely cafe culture and plenty of amenities, including weekly street markets. You are also a mile from the famous Glastonbury festival site and a good village pub. Hauser & Wirth’s fabulous modern art gallery with its famous gardens and Roth Bar and Grill, Bruton with its eclectic mix of shops and restaurants and The Newt are all less than 12 miles from the property. Other attractions and places of interest accessible from here include Wookey Hole Caves, Cheddar Gorge, the Shapwick Nature Reserve, the beautiful historic city of Bath and discount shopping at the Clarks Village and Kilver Court, all within 22 miles. There is also a good selection of National Trust properties and gardens to explore.

On entering this stylish property, you are immediately greeted by a light and airy open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with French doors opening into a private garden, a perfect place for a peaceful break away. Settle in for a snug evening with a bottle of wine and a film on the Smart TV in front of the contemporary electric fire. The kitchen has an electric hob and oven, microwave, fridge with ice compartment, dishwasher and Dolce Gusto coffee machine. Head upstairs to the beautiful king-size bedroom and sleep tight after exploring the wonderful countryside. Completing the accommodation is an immaculate en-suite bathroom with a shower over the bath and a WC.

Outside there is a private secluded garden with a patio area. Guests will find a table and chairs, where you can enjoy a spot of al fresco dining and a glass of wine under the star-filled skies. Off-road parking for one car can be found in front of the property.

Beautifully quiet location. Although attached to the owners house the cottage feels very private and you have the use of a delightful garden which is not overlooked. The quality of all the fixtures and fittings was very good, and the hosts were warm and welcoming.

Absolutely delightful! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in The Larder and explored many local places. The attention to detail in the decor of the accommodation is wonderful and it was a pleasure to return each evening to relax in such surroundings. The outside seating area was pretty and peaceful and if the weather allowed would have been a great plaRead morece to sit and enjoy a meal. Peace,tranquility and relaxation abound at The Larder. Both Stuart and Caroline where excellent,answering questions when needed otherwise leaving you alone to enjoy your holiday.The little touches make all the difference eg.tea,coffee,foil,loo rolls etc were all provided along with a homemade cake and bottle of cider.The place was extremely clean aRead morend comfortable,one couldnt ask for more.It states its 5 star and believe me it lives upto it. Couldn't fault this wonderful property. Everything about it was perfect. The decor made me want to rush out for a Farrow and Ball shade card. We much appreciated the welcome hamper especially the homemade Victoria sandwich cake! It was yummy! Delightful hosts. Surprisingly interesting area. It all made for a very relaxing break. A beautifully decorated and comfy place to stay. Absolutely perfect for those who want a quiet and peaceful holiday with lovely views. Although it's situated in a small hamlet there are a huge number of places to visit nearby, including Wells with lots of shops. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Thoroughly recommend this cottage. Hosts were very friendly and helpful. Location good for local visits and sights.
