We were greeted with a sumptious cream tea on arrival. The cottage was spotless with a pleasing warmth from underfloor heating. We lit the wood burner for cosiness. The bedroom was spacious with superb linen. The shower was modern..powerful and efficient. The kitchen was well equipped... the courtyard garden snug and private. Staying at the old shop was a really good experience. There's a really nice welcome on arriving. The old shop is well equipped, clean and comfortable. It's location makes it an ideal base for exploring and the village of Bourton is tranquil - ideal for relaxing.

This is a beautifully presented cottage with a welcoming cream tea when we arrived. It's in a good location for visiting surrounding National Trust properties as well as Bath and the coast, although the village of Bourton itself is spread out along a road and has few amenities.
