Lovingly converted barn provides a relaxing getaway where no attention to detail has been forgotten. A perfect location for those wanting to experience the countryside at its finest, yet with lots to discover on the doorstep.

Situated in the hamlet of Knapp just outside the highly popular village of North Curry, which has a shop/post office, coffee shop and a pub. There are miles of walks to be enjoyed directly from the property which meander through a rural landscape teeming with wildlife. Local wildlife safaris can be arranged prior to your stay which is a fantastic way of discovering all that Somerset has to offer. Taunton, the County Town of Somerset, is approximately 7 miles with an extensive shopping mix, restaurants, leisure facilities, the County Cricket ground and racecourse. The central location makes it perfect for visiting both coastlines including pretty Watchet and Blue Anchor Bay to the North and the popular seaside towns of Seaton, Lyme Regis and Sidmouth to the South.

Step into the light and airy open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with apex ceilings, beautiful exposed beams, oak flooring and wood burner, a perfect escape for families and couples alike. Settle in for a snug evening with a feast, a bottle of wine and a film on the Smart TV. The perfectly equipped kitchen has an electric hob and oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave and washing machine it is a great space for cooking lazy breakfasts or trying out new recipes. There is also a useful cloakroom with WC. At either end of the property are two bedrooms, the first is a king-size with an en-suite shower room with shower and WC. The second is a super-king-size zip-and-link (which can be made into a twin on request) with an en-suite shower room with shower and WC.

Outside there is an enclosed walled courtyard garden with far-reaching countryside views, great for both you and your four-legged friends to relax in. Guests will find a table and chairs, a charcoal BBQ as well a wood-fired hot tub, which is particularly inviting at night, when guests can enjoy the warm bubbling water under the star-filled skies. You will be very welcome to use the owners tennis court too. There is ample off-road parking available.

The Pigsty was nothing like any pigsty I've seen: comfortable, well equipped, clean and light. We sooo much appreciated our holiday. Sadly the area was badly affected by flooding, so we avoided local walks and sought out hills. A great area for a relaxing holiday.

Clean, comfortable, well equipped, warm and modern. Just what we wanted. Nice peaceful spot. Lovely welcome pack of treats which we appreciated. Hestercombe Gardens and the canal walks both worth a visit. Nice food and friendly service at The Canal Inn, The Lime Kiln Inn and The Bear. Would definitely recommend this place.

The cottage was extremely well maintained and facilities were very good. The beds were very comfortable. We only stayed for three nights and would have loved to have stayed longer. Views from the cottage were pretty stunning.

'The Pigsty' cottage, we found, is a high-end, very well fitted-out, well designed (for 4x adults) well insulated and well equipped cottage, all in immaculate condition. We stayed here following collecting our campervan from fitting-out by a company in Caldicot, Wales, and headed down to Taunton area for four nights with friends. We always stay in dog friendly accommodation and standards vary enormously. However, the Pigsty was by far the nicest, best equipped and the most comfortable out of all the properties we have stayed in (which must be well over 30 over the years). We would happily recommend it and would stay here again.

Really nice place, very comfortable and roomy. Really liked the layout with the lounge/diner/kitchen area in the middle and two large double bedrooms with ensuite at either end. Really good wifi as well which isn't always the case

Absolutely lovely conversion of an outbuilding! Really nice comfy beds and quiet location with a nice view. Kids loved the tennis court. Owners very helpful and friendly without intruding. You may need quite a bit of wood for the hot tub. We didn't use it quite as much as we would have liked for that reason, but also because the week we were there Read morewas a bit too rainy sadly. The accommodation is of an excellent standard and had no complaints. However, the owners house is very close and it does invade the privacy in the cottage. The jacuzzi in our opinion wouldnt have been usable because of the location of the main house.

We only stayed 2 nights in this beautifully designed barn conversion, but it was enough for us to appreciate the quality of the work done, the oh so comfortable sofas, the log fire, the under floor heating, the pristine ensuite showers, the fabulous wood fired hot tub that the owner kindly helped us with. This was an outstanding cottage in a wonderful place. Quite off the beaten track. Very comfortable and some great recommendations for pubs. Lovely relaxing hot tub.we would go again without question. Some lovely walks as well if you have dogs.

We have stayed in quite a few cottages and The Pigsty was by far the best. A beautifully restored cottage, with two roomy bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare and cook any meal. The hot tub was also a much enjoyed extra, a couple of bags of logs and a little patience and you can relax in the wonderful wateRead morer. Wonderful property and facilities in a beautiful part of Somerset! Lovely welcome pack and some great things to do recommendations from the owners. Found some lovely walks from the doorstep and a fabulous local pub within walking distance. Would highly recommend The Pigsty!
