This spacious bungalow would suit a small family or a group of friends holidaying together. Located amidst rolling countryside on the edge of the riverside town of Dulverton, this is a beautifully peaceful holiday spot. It’s a half-mile from the bungalow into the thriving town centre where there is plenty to see and do. Spend an afternoon browsing the many independent shops on the high street then stop for a pick-me-up at one of the cute cafes or traditional pubs. Alternatively, get your art fix and visit the Guildhall Heritage and Arts Centre at the town library. Dulverton is also home to the headquarters of the Exmoor National Park Authority and Visitor Centre and is known as the ‘Southern Gateway to Exmoor’. This means that there are many lovely walks to enjoy within easy reach of the town. Dulverton will have all you need in terms of shops and restaurants, but if you feel the call of the ocean then you could head to the seaside town of Minehead 18 miles away.
The bungalow is set out all on one level with very spacious accommodation both inside and out. The large dual-aspect lounge features comfortable sofas and a log-effect electric fire for cooler evenings. An archway leads off of the lounge into the dining room, and from there patio doors open out into the garden. The kitchen is spacious and has all that you need for rustling up a home-cooked meal, as well as a handy kitchen hatch linking through to the dining room. A back door leads from the kitchen into the conservatory. There are two generous bedrooms, one double and one twin. Both bedrooms share the use of the main bathroom, which features a large walk-in shower. There is also a useful separate WC.
The extensive gardens are mostly laid to lawn with many established trees and shrubs dotted throughout. The gardens are edged with a combination of hedge and fence and bordered on one side by an unfenced stream (the garden is not enclosed). These tranquil gardens are the perfect place to spend lazy afternoons in the sunshine gazing out at the countryside views and enjoying the sounds of nature all around. Close to the house, you will find a paved patio area featuring a table and chairs for dining al-fresco. The large conservatory off of the kitchen offers further social space.
