Situated close to Bath , Bristol and Cheddar Gorge we enjoyed a week of peace and quiet with lots to do . We were sad to leave but have great memories and look forward to returning in the future. Hide

Lovely barn conversion with everything you need. We had 8 staying there and had plenty of room. The beds were comfortable and everything was very clean. It was lovely to see the horses in the field too. Very friendly and accommodating owners and a very tasty apple crumble left for us too. Thank you!

Lovely spacious living and kitchen area with plenty of seating and well equipped kitchen. Great fully enclosed garden perfect for dogs. Sadly only two out of the four bedrooms have wardrobes, the other two have four or five hooks on the wall and thats it, thankfully for us, we was only using three of the bedrooms so we used the spare as storage butRead more I think if all 4 of them were being used, I definitely think storage would be an issue. Russet Cottage was perfect for us as it was all on one level. This was essential for my father with limited mobility. Loved the open plan living and good sized bedrooms. Had everything you would need for a week away. Fantastic to see the horses in the field next to the cottage, owls hooting and woodpeckers swooping from tree to tree. Blissful.

Fabulous cottage. We found the layout to be perfect for our group of 5 adults and 2 children. The bedroom corridor has a door which can be closed once the children were in bed, so less likely to be disturbed by the adults, music, tv, games etc. Very well equipped, lovely and cosy in the winter, with plenty of lovely hot water for baths and showers Read morewhich were also lovely and powerful. Bonus was the friendly horse (and owner!) literally outside the back door. There was a super homemade apple crumble, totally unexpected and very tasty. The cottage is spacious and bright, the kitchen is well equipped and there is plenty of room. The location is very pretty, and quiet apart from when the brewery is open, as the bedrooms back onto it, our first night especially was a struggle to sleep before midnight because of the noise. The carrot cake was a lovely touch, but was really surprisRead moreed to not have more of a welcome pack for the price of the property, at the very least a small bottle of milk as there aren't shops very close by. The bedrooms are nice but only 2 of them have wardrobes and not long ones at that, so hanging certain clothes wasn't possible. They only have wooden blinds in too, so if you struggle to sleep in bright rooms, this is probably not the location for you. Showers could do with a really thorough clean around the grout, whilst the cubicles were very clean, the condition of the grout and black mould was quite off-putting again for the price of the property was unexpected. The front door is quite difficult to open. At times it opens like a charm, others it will take 2-3 attempts. Front room is lovely, but the sofa is incredibly low. With all 3 of us being disabled, we found it very difficult to get up off. Again, be mindful if you are elderly or have mobility issues. The owners were accommodating when we arrived early and wanted to leave a car whilst we went for lunch, and also provided us with a loo roll that was missing from the en suite and the recipe for the cake. It's a nice place, but not as good as we were expecting. Not somewhere that we'd return to but good to get away. Hide
