Set in the heart of Somerset and a great place to explore the area with Bath, Wells, Cheddar Glastonbury and the Clarks Village shopping outlet all within a short drive. There are many popular attractions to suit all tastes with England's smallest city, Wells, just a short drive away with market days on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Enjoy cycling direct to either Glastonbury or Wells via beautiful country lanes. Other popular days out include Glastonbury Tor, the caves at Cheddar Gorge and Wookey Hole. Beaches to the north include Weston-Super-Mare and Kilve as well as a variety of leisure activities such as swimming, riding, golf courses and fishing close by. The pub in the adjacent village of Godney has live music and serves food.

The restored former farmhouse offers superb accommodation set over three floors and has a range of traditional features such as exposed beams, stone walls and flagstone floors. This property's eco credentials include a geothermal heat pump serving the underfloor heating and hot water throughout the house. Stepping into the property there is a spacious kitchen/diner with a lovely inglenook fireplace and fully equipped to cater for large groups with double oven and five ring hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. The stylish dining hall is just off the kitchen and has a formal dining table and feature stone fireplace. There is a cosy sitting room with a double sofa bed and is equipped with smart TV as well as a CD/radio and a collection of books and games. The garden room with plenty of seating and wood burner overlooking the terrace and with superb views across the Somerset Levels. There is a separate WC on the ground floor. Heading upstairs there are five bedrooms and three bathrooms. On the first floor is the master king-size suite with private sitting room and en-suite shower room with shower and WC. There is a further king-size room and a twin room on this floor. A bathroom with bath, separate shower and WC completes the first floor. On the second floor there are two twin rooms and a further bathroom with bath, separate shower and WC.

Outside there is an extensive enclosed patio area, a great place for dining alfresco in the sunshine and offering superb views across the Mendip Hills with garden furniture and BBQ. Do look out for the deer who sometimes like to come along and say hello and also the red kites and kingfishers. There is a large lawned area which is ideal for ball games.

Had a great time as a family of 10 with young children. Kids loved playing outside and it was ideally located for Wookey Hole and Cheddar Gorge.

Had the best weekend with friends and family at Double House Farm Henton. The house is beautiful, well equipped with everything you need for a perfect weekend away. The garden and orchard perfect for a nice afternoon walk, would be amazing on a hot summers day!!

The property was large and perfect for our needs. The owner was hugely hospitable allowing us to stay longer on our check out day and making sure everything was to our liking. Lovely, well equipped and spacious accommodation. Great location, just a 10 minute drive from Wells Cathedral and even closer to Wookey Hole. We were only there for 3 nights but would definitely look at coming back next year for a longer stay.

Fabulous venue for our recent friend and family getaway for 12 adults. Stairs to bedrooms are a little steep but manageable if you go steady. Deluxe double room with ensuite was very nice and 2 other big bathrooms on 1st and 2nd floor with bath and shower which was great. Double sofabed on the ground floor a bit cosy for 2 but manageable for our 3 Read morenight stay. Beautiful grounds and views, nicely located to visit shopping and tourist attractions. A well maintained and spacious property , ideal for younger children with plenty of areas for them to play, loved the patio area with plenty of tables and chairs. We had three vehicles so there was ample room for parking . In all the website was true to its word would throughly recommend for larger families.
