The Flat by the Sea is ideally located for views over the Bristol Channel. On clear days you can see over to Wales and Hinkley Point. The beach is gorgeous but not easy to walk on until the tide goes out. Gorgeous sunrises and sunsets despite the very strange May weather! It was lovely sleeping with the windows open hearing the waves and the trees Read morebehind the flats. It is a great base from which to explore Somerset and Devon. Exmoor is just wild and stunning. I managed to get to Bossington Hill, Porlock Weir, Dunkery Beacon, Lynton and Lynmouth, Valley of Rocks, rode the steam train from start to finish and back again - really wonderful experience! Dunster beach was fab as well. Exmoor Zoo and Combe Martin Wildlife Park are both worth a visit if that's your thing. Its easy to walk to the main shops with its array of eateries, beach supplies, gift shop with items made by local artisans and I 100% recommend the flapjack shop! The cinema and theatre are also there on the main drag - I did use both! Tesco, Morrisons and Aldi are all a short drive away for all your grocery needs and fish and chips on the beach are a must! I enjoyed a lovely walk through the park and up the hill which form the start of the South West Coastal Path. Blenheim Gardens is a lovely place to visit too. One thing to note is that it does get very busy at the weekends with many many people walking the Coastal Path. Its a really lovely flat with plenty of room for me to spread out - as a solo visitor, I used the twin room as my wardrobe and dressing room! Its really simply decorated in white throughout with some really stunning pictures of the surrounding areas on the walls. Good Internet service made life easy too. I didn't use the dishwasher - not much point for just me but having it there is so good for larger groups and having the washing machine is just brilliant! Cooker and microwave easy to use but I did have to hunt around for the welcome pack as it had been tucked away down beside the microwave. I had Sunday roast at The Old Ship Aground- the first one superb but I was less impressed the second time! All in all, a great place to stay :) Hide

A very comfortable, nicely furnished and well equipped flat. The parking was easy and convienient. Camper vans partially blocked the sea view at the weekend. The local pub, a two minute walk away, served tasty food at a reasonable price.

Very nice flat - comfortable and well equipped. Easy to find a parking space on the road opposite whenever needed. Great location opposite the sea with a handy path and park for easy quick dog walks. Lovely watching the sun rise over the sea. We didn't eat in the nearby pub as our dog was a bit nervous and we were worried she might bark - they don'Read moret allow antisocial dogs which is fair enough. Minehead is well served by supermarkets and we had a lovely Indian takeaway from the Taj Mahal. Hide

An excellent property that is situated in a location with plenty to see and do within the area. Although no private space for our dog there was a park located nearby that we took full advantage of. Easy access to the local shops and town facilities. The view from the property was directly at the sea and beaches.
