Set within the landscaped grounds of a country house, this impressive former barn is a great choice for a growing family or a romantic getaway. It is located within reasonable driving distance from several of the region’s top visitor attractions. Visit Wells, one of the British Isle’s smallest cities; or venture a bit further to see the giant white chalk figures in the hills. Other options include Bristol or the Clarks Shopping Village in Street. For those who love the great outdoors, take a trip to Cheddar Gorge or one of the local National Trust properties.

On arrival at this well-presented property you will find that the layout embraces the predominantly open-plan model of combining the kitchen and dining area together in one space. The stylish lounge has ample comfortable seating to enjoy a film on the TV/DVD, and a cosy wood burner to unwind in front of. The kitchen and dining area comes complete with a electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge / freezer and a Belfast-style sink. The rustic wooden dining table has ample bench seating to accommodate four (or more) diners comfortably. Relax in the warmth during the colder months with the wood burning stove in the barn. Also on the ground floor is a luxurious bathroom, with a roll-top bath, shower and a WC. Upstairs are two bedrooms, the first bedroom contains a king-size double-bed and views of the garden, and exposed wooden beams, restored remnants from the barn’s history. Across the hallway is a second bedroom contain twin zip-and-link beds that can be joined together to make a king-size double. Both rooms have ample storage for clothing.

Step outside the property you will find a private enclosed patio area with garden furniture.

It was a delight to stay at beautiful Gripp Barn, with everything you might need provided and the hot tub was made good use of. The hosts were super friendly and helpful and the location is brilliant with Bath, Frome and Wells all within a short drive. We loved the Farmborough Community Shop too - what a brilliant initiative. Beautiful barn, super comfortable accommodation and we loved looking through the photos of the reconstruction in the info booklet. Everything needed for a family, lots to keep everyone occupied and relaxed at home, but excellent location for exploring the local area.

The property is situated a short car journey from Bath, so for us it was in an ideal location. It was spacious, clean and well equipped for our Christmas short break. The barn was absolutely amazing, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The owners were very helpful and friendly. Great location not far from Bath or Bristol. We stayed as we were getting married nearby at Priston Mill and the owners were happy for us to have photos taken on the premises. Would definitely stay again.

Absolutely beautiful property. I loved everything about it. Perfect location, only 20 minuets into Bath. A few pubs in the local area, The New Inn was great for a Sunday Roast. The owner Claire was lovely and greeted us on arrival. Property has everything you need and more, could not find a single fault with the house. Hot tub was fantastic too

Wonderful barn, spacious and very comfortable - beds were amazing with high quality mattress. Excellent base for exploring the area, not much on the doorstep but lots to do within a 20- 40 min drive. We have just spent a week at Gripp Barn and have thoroughly enjoyed it. The Barn is beautiful and has everything you could want. Its ideally located for Bath, Cheddar Gorge, Glastonbury/Street and many other locations. We visited the nearby pub for a Burger one evening and then Sunday lunch and enjoyed the food and the friendly staff. Although the Read moreweather was extremely hot, we enjoyed the hot tub as it was in the shade so not too hot. Communication from the owners was great. Thank you so much. Hide

Really amazing Barn conversion. Only 20mins from Bath. Beautifully appointed with everything you might need (esp in the kitchen) and a delightful romantic getaway. The property was spotless upon arrival and come equipped with everything required, the kitchen was almost over equipped giving no reason to leave the property at all! We really enjoyed our stay at Gripp Barn, its been so beautifully restored and is very comfortable with a really cosy feel. The hot tub was a welcome treat, especially after a day of exploring the local sights. The hosts, Claire and Rich were very helpful and welcoming. We would definitely recommend Gripp Barn to friends!

Gripp barn is very spacious with plenty of room in each area, plenty of radiators to keep it warm if needed, very large kitchen and dining area, only issue is a small fridge and freezer but plenty of space otherwise, very clean and well keep. Hot tub is amazing and plenty of room for 2 cars outside the front of the barn and secured. Bedrooms are laRead morerge and comfortable. Fantastic barn for a relaxing weeks break over New Year. We loved using the hot tub after a day out in the cold. Very handy location for visiting Bath, Wells, Stonehenge, Lacock etc. Wed love to return in the summer months to take advantage of the longer days & evenings with the outdoor seating.

Wow! What a Beautiful barn, done to a very high standard throughout. It had Everything we needed and hot tub was lovely and relaxing, just what we needed. Beds comfortable. Loved it all. Not far for visiting Bath and local walks. We had a fabulous stay and would definitely return.

Great stay. Comfortable beds, fab shower, wonderfully maintained bath tub. Clean through out with everything you need, including a thoughtful welcome package . Lovely place, lots to do in the area. Really pleasant and helpful owners.
