Nestling in the coastal village of Blue Anchor, with its large beach, two pubs serving food, traditional cafes and historic West Somerset steam railway that runs from Minehead to Bishops Lydeard, which is a short walk away. Walkers and wildlife lovers can enjoy the coastal and countryside walks direct from the property, the Quantock Hills and Brendon Hills are within a short drive. The quaint village of Porlock and the medieval town of Dunster, with its National Trust castle, are well worth a visit. Exmoor National Park, famous for some of the most breathtaking scenery is less than 1 mile. Likewise the South West Coast Path is easily accessible from Blue Anchor.

The beautiful accommodation is approached via a few steps down from the garden, views of which can be enjoyed from the property. Upon entering the single story property you are greeted with a light and airy open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, in the summer you can open the patio doors to let the outside in and in the cooler months create a cosier feel with the contemporary electric effect fire. Here you can relax on the comfy sofas while watching your favourite TV programme or DVD. The well-equipped kitchen/dining area has an electric oven, fridge with ice-compartment, dishwasher, microwave and washer/dryer which is perfect for breakfast and light suppers. From the lounge area you will enter into the double bedroom. There is also a delightful shower room with WC at the other end of the living area.

Venturing outside there are attractive shared landscaped gardens.

We stayed in the Garden lodge everything was lovely. It had everything you needed and more . Lovely welcome from Nigel and Paula and they were so helpful , Paula left a vase of lovely fresh flowers and home made flapjack that was delicious . The area was so easy to get where you wanted . Will definitely will be back

Very friendly and helpful owners on site. Very peaceful and quiet. Lovely having a garden to sit in. Close to promenade, steam railway station, and a good cafe for coffees and lunches.

A warm friendly welcome from Nigel and Paula. Spotlessly clean. Warm. Milk, biscuits, tea, coffee and homemade flapjack provided. Lovely, comfy cottage. Well located for getting out and about. Lovely garden. Meg and Wren are lovely dogs. A really lovely cottage with lovely owners.

Everything was brilliant! What a lovely place to stay! Immaculate! A lovely garden, friendly, helpful hosts, coffee, tea, milk, biscuits and other really nice 'extras' were there when we arrived. Garden Lodge was a tastefully decorated, and comfortable accomodation. The garden, was a very pretty and peaceful space to sit. The whole place had a lovely ambiance. Garden Lodge is fantastic! The accommodation is immaculately clean, comfortable and well-equipped, and the beautiful garden is great for "al fresco" dining. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful. Blue Anchor is a lovely, quiet, village resort with great scenic walks along the front and beach, good meals at The Bay cafe, and only 10 minutes to suRead morepermarkets in Minehead. Everything was absolutely perfect, as always...hence why this was our 4th stay at Garden Lodge and certainly not our last! We have stayed in the garden lodge or the look out retreat for the last 5 or more years. They are both immaculate and well equipped. Paula and Nigel the owners are warm and welcoming. It is a peaceful location with a lovely garden, cafes and pub within in walking distance as is the sea front, steam railway and coastal walks. The cottage is lovely, with everything you would need. It is beautifully clean, and the garden is very peaceful. The milk, flowers and flapjacks were much appreciated.
