A great spot for those requiring a peaceful holiday, or for those wishing to enjoy all that Somerset has to offer. Walkers will have a choice of walks across the moors directly from the door, plus cycle routes or perhaps bird watching at a RSPB Nature Reserve on the Somerset Levels, ideal for keen bird watchers and nature lovers alike. Visit the sandy and dramatic beaches of Burnham-on-Sea or enjoy a day out slightly further afield at the seaside towns of Lyme Regis and West Bay or take a trip to The Quantocks AONB. There are attractions for all tastes with Glastonbury Tor, Cheddar Gorge, the cathedral city of Wells, Clarks Village at Street, or the many National Trust properties.

Step into the hall which is a perfect place for storing muddy shoes after a day out exploring the beautiful Somerset countryside. Lovely lodge in a beautiful location. The surrounding area was very picturesque and we hope to visit again. The property was well equipped and inside was clean and comfy. We loved our stay at the lodge.

The cottage lived up to our expectations for comfort and location. We were made very welcome and felt that nothing was too much trouble. The location is good for touring the area and is close to the Avalon marshes for wildlife and to the interesting towns of Wells and Glastonbury. A great place to stay and visit.

Then Little Whitley Lodge is a lovely, clean, spacious and warm - underfloor heating was excellent - cottage. Off the beaten track but in easy travelling distance of Cheddar Gorge, the coast and local super markets. Sandra was an excellent host and went out of her way to ensure our stay was comfortable. Clean, comfortable and well equipped. The totally enclosed garden is ideal for dogs. The owners were very helpful and friendly on hand if required but not intrusive in any way. Although beautifully situated on a country lane if required the town of Street is less than 15 minutes away with all you could need and many places of interest are easily acRead morecessible. This is a beautiful property set in a rural location. Garden was perfect for our dog and their are footpaths close by to follow for longer walks. Street is within 2 miles and has virtually everything you would need. There is a pub within walking distance but it is down single track roads with no street lights, recommend taking a high-vis jacket if Read moreyou intend to walk in the dark. The cottage was clean, very comfortable, well equipped and very dog safe and friendly. Although the owners live on site, there was no intrusion whatsoever and easily contactable to resolve a minor issue. This is one of the nicest cottages we've stayed in over the last 10 yrs of self catering holidays, and will be looking to return next year.

We had a great time at the lodge and its probably the best holiday accommodation we have stayed in. It was spotlessly clean, very well equipped, spacious, and comfortable. The garden is huge, very secure for our dog and we spent many an afternoon/evening in it enjoying the sunshine. Sandra and Arthur were very welcoming and friendly. We had a lovely time staying at the lodge. It was clean and comfortable and very dog friendly. The garden is secure so no escaping dogs. It was within easy reach of Glastonbury and the coastal dog friendly beaches. Would definitely recommend a stay here.

We enjoyed staying at this bright, spacious, well equipped annex to owners' home. Very quiet lane with hardly any traffic. We enjoyed some lovely walks from the door including to RSPB Ham Wall and the wider Avalon Marshes area. Brilliant place to stay. The owners were friendly and really helpful when we passed them from time to time. The back garden is properly enclosed with a full height fence 95% of the way around and the last 5% is a tall gate so we didnt have to worry about our big dogs jumping the fence (usually a worry). The lodge was done out to a very good standard and Sandra couldn't do enough for us. It had a lovely garden in a nice and peaceful area. Plenty of places to go to walk the dog and not to far from all the main attractions.

An excellent stay. The owners are to be congratulated. It's also an asset to Holiday cottages website. The property, decor, comfort and thoughtfulness are superb. Perfect in every respect. Everything about our stay was as hoped for, very relaxing and peaceful. Sandra and Arthur are so friendly and welcoming. A perfect place to stay with our dog ... she loved it. So many local footpaths and many places to visit within easy reach. Spacious and exceptionally clean, really well equipped kitchen.

Comfortable and well equipped cottage. Lovely garden which is great for dogs (fully enclosed). Owners live in adjacent property and are very helpful without being intrusive (eg advice on local recycling arrangements). Convenient location for Ham Wall RSPB reserve, Glastonbury, Wells and Langport as well as Brean Barrows and Down and Weston super MaRead morere. Even Burrow Mump. Lots of other places nearby but we didnt have time to visit them all in a week! Hide

This Lodge is ideally situated for a quiet and relaxing break and for exploring Somerset. The owners Sandra and Arthur have created an idyllic and comfortable property with a secure, enclosed and private garden which our Cocker Spaniel loved. Situated about 40 mins from the coast where you can drive onto the beach & let your dog off, West Somerset Read moresteam railway well worth a visit, this goes to Minehead. Glastonbury, Wells and Street are also worth a visit. Hide
