This wonderful escape is situated in one of the most popular parts of Somerset, in between the vibrant market towns of Frome (5 miles) and Bruton (9 miles). Both towns have a lovely cafe culture, independent boutiques and plenty of amenities, including weekly markets. Situated near the Mendips (20 miles), walkers and cyclists will be spoilt for choice with picturesque routes virtually on the doorstep. Visit the Roman city of Bath (20 miles) with its Georgian architecture, museums, thermal spa, galleries, shops and theatre or the stunning cathedral city of Wells (14 miles). Also within easy reach are the following attractions: Nunney Castle (0.7 miles), Cranmore Railway (5 miles), the National Trust’s Stourhead House and Gardens (10 miles), Cheddar Gorge (21 miles), Chew Valley Lake (20 miles) and Glastonbury Tor (17 miles).

Upon entering this stylish property, you are immediately greeted by a light and airy open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, a perfect place for a relaxing break away. Settle in for a snug evening with a feast, a bottle of wine and a film on the Smart TV in front of the wood burner. The perfectly equipped kitchen has an electric hob and oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and Nespresso coffee machine, it is a great space for cooking lazy breakfasts or trying out new recipes. Head up the stunning bespoke spiral staircase to the beautiful king-size bedroom with Smart TV and sleep tight after exploring the wonderful countryside. Completing the accommodation is an immaculate en-suite bathroom with a roll-top bath, separate shower and WC. There are sloping ceilings upstairs, which is all part of the charm and character of this wonderful property.

Outside there is an enclosed suntrap courtyard. Guests will find a table and chairs and a BBQ where a spot of al fresco dining and a glass of wine can be enjoyed under the star-filled skies. There is ample off-road parking in front of the property.

Set in a beautiful part of the country, however the property lies close to a busy main road, with heavy traffic passing at all times.

great cottage for a muc needed early Spring break and very close to Stourhead gardens and The Newt gardens. Very comfortable bed and the cottage was so well laid out. Wonderful cake and wine in the fridge so thank you.

The Hideaway is a very comfortable property, perfectly set up for two and a dog. It is well equipped with attention to detail, we appreciated the welcome pack. The location is also very good.

Fantastic place just for the two of us, especially liked the log burner on the cold nights. The owner was lovely and even left us a cake and bottle of wine. We will definitely recommend the Hideaway to all our friends and family.

We recently had a lovely stay with our dog at the Hideaway, The freshly baked Victoria sponge cake on arrival was a yummy surprise! The local pub was a short walk away, there are numerous cafes and farmshops just a short drive away, and the location was a perfect base for walking.

Lovely well equipped cottage. Very welcome cake and wine on arrival. The log fire warmed us up in no time. Logs and firelighters all provided. The spiral staircase was quirky but slightly challenging for older guests (such as us!) There is a large garden which is useful for exercising dogs. We had a lovely 3 days

The Hideaway provided the perfect snug, cosy holiday accommodation for us. The convenient location was also surrounded by beautiful countryside and we particularly enjoyed the walks down into the village and watching the deer visiting the garden. This property has everything you could want in a holiday retreat. It is handy for Wells, Bath, Frome and Weston Super Mare amongst others, with Longleat and Stourhead on the doorstep. The hosts are welcoming and nothing is too much trouble.

A lovely comfortable cottage which is really well-equipped. A great welcome from Deb who helped us with reaching the cottage once we'd got to Nunney - and thanks too for the excellent cake! It's great location for visiting Wells, Bath, Glastonbury, Bristol and the surrounding area.

We loved our week at the cottage 22nd March to 29th. plenty of space to put everything, and the log burner heated the cottage really well and it had everything u needed and parking was good The owner Debbie was lovely she left a cake and wine which was really nice we explored all over we went wookey hole , went on the train from frome to bath for tRead morehe day , cheddar gorge, stourhead house, longleat and we walked to the village 1 morning had food in the George inn. This cottage is well placed for all of the must see locations in the area. It is so well equipped and a proper little oasis. Although it is adjacent to the owners our privacy was respected. Our second time visiting and certainly wont be the last.

Fantastic holiday cottage. Would highly recommend. Very well equipped and cosy with excellent hosts. Close to Wells, Stourhead and Bath. Lovely little village 10 minutes walk away with a great pub, small shop and a castle. Close to a busy A road, which didn't bother us, but may be noisy for light sleepers. Would definitely stay again.

The Hideaway is even better than the website portrays. The bed was extremely comfortable, everything you needed was provided. When we had a power cut after the storm on Saturday, Debbie came round to make sure we had everything we needed, unlimited logs for the wood burner and provided us with candles. Lovely warm welcome to this dog friendly cottage. Ideal base for touring the surrounding area by day, and cosy and warm at night. Highly recommend a visit to Bath Christmas market, Glastonbury, NT Stourhead and Laycock and Salisbury Cathedral. Would stay again at a different time of year too.

I would 100% recommend this beautiful cottage. A bottle of wine and a fresh Victoria sandwich cake upon arrival was amazing. The decor and gorgeous furniture made the cottage feel like more than home. The cottage is handily placed to explore Somerset and surrounding area. It's within easy reach of Bath, Wells, Bristol, etc. It was well kitted out with everything we needed for our stay. It has the bonus of an EV charging point, however it did prove problematic. The company who operate it were extremely helpful in sorting out charging as the App wRead morehich is supposed to work, doesn't. A lovely cottage with a modern kitchen and luxury bathroom. Has all the facilities and equipment that anyone would want. Located within easy reach of major attractions such as Wells,Bath, Longleat etc. This 1 bedroom cottage ideal for couples of any age but not suitable for the disabled due to iron spiral staircase.

This is a fabulous place that cant be faulted. Cosy for 2 adults and a dog. It was great to have heating in the bathroom that actually worked/had access to (even in the summer on colder evenings) unlike other properties Ive stayed at. Lovely accommodation and location. So peaceful but within easy reach of many destinations worth visiting. Cheddar Gorge, Glastonbury , Frome and Wells for a start. A wonderful welcome with milk and wine in the fridge, along with the best cake we have tasted in years! Will certainly be looking to return!

Fantastic little cottage. Ideal for any couple with or without a pet. You certainly cant tell that pets have ever stayed here. And we take our miniature schnauzer.
