For a small area, this cottage has been extremely well designed to make full use of the space. Cosy, comfortable and tastefully decorated with all needs catered for. Maperton Hamlet is a five minute walk in one direction, Holton Village fifteen minutes in the other direction. Quiet location, we hardly heard a car passing.

This was a lovely week's break in Somerset for us and our pups. The location is peaceful and the scenery is calming. The cottage was clean and comfortable, we found all we needed in the kitchen. The bed though very cosy, is only a double and seemed small to us as we are used to a king, our preference. Good off road parking, with a gate to close after reversing in. The garden is not completely secure as the gate is some way off the ground in places. A perfect retreat out in nature with only the birds, occasional dog and horse passing to break the silence. The bed was extremely comfortable and the cottage was roomy and comfortable. The large wet room was very luxurious with everything on one level. The dogs enjoyed the enclosed garden. A really relaxing couple of days

We found this cottage is lovey, war, comfortable & amazing value for money. We stayed for 7 nights and it's location means that its very quiet & relaxing but also only a 5 minute drive to the nearest supermarket in Wincanton. The only issue we had was finding nice places to eat locally as there appeared to be very few, however with the fully equippRead moreed kitchen we were able to save some money and cook for ourselves. At first glance everything looks ok however you soon realise that there are a lot of things requiring attention at this chalet. Towel rail does not work. The shower room floods. The driveway needs attention. The oven and the electric kettle needed a really good clean. Luckily we did not have to use the oven but did have to descale the kettle twice.Read more With a few improvements and some maintenance carried out this Chalet could go from a three to a five. Hide
