Within a few minutes walk are the renowned Blagdon and Chew Valley fishing lakes where permits can be obtained from £14 per day and bird watching passes from £2.80 per day, to discover the many species living in the area. The lakes offer wonderful rambling opportunities and walks can be started direct from the property. The barn is centrally located and within easy driving distance to the regional city of Bristol offering shopping facilities, an ice rink, theatres, cinemas, bars and restaurants. The historic city of Bath has much to discover with cultural entertainment including museums and theatres. Wells, with its famous cathedral, is within a 20 minute drive as is the town of Cheddar. Local attractions in the area include Cheddar Gorge and Wookey Hole Caves.

The stylish accommodation, with features such as exposed beams, offers TWO bedrooms: situated upstairs, 1 double and 1 room with double futon or ample room for a travel cot and 1 twin room situated downstairs. We have just come back from a 4 night break at The Forge. I cannot fault our stay. The view is amazing, house is clean and the beds are super comfy. The inclusion of milk and a sweet treat on our arrival was really appreciated. I couldn't recommend it enough.

What a great find. The cottage had everything we needed and it was most cosy. The beds were comfortable and the shower was also very good. I would recommend a visit to this lovely place.

We really enjoyed our stay at The Forge. The accommodation is very comfortable and tastefully decorated, and the kitchen very well equipped. The views from the living area and the garden are absolutely stunning, and its in a very peaceful setting 2 miles away from any main roads so there was no traffic noise. As well as tea, coffee and milk, our hoRead morests had left us some delicious refrigerator cake, which was a lovely surprise! Hide

The Forge is a lovely and comfy little house, well equipped and well looked after. We felt immediately at home. It has a very nice view, that kann be enjoyd from the patio. Driving to Nempnett can be a bit of a challenge, because of the web of little lanes, but it is worth it.

A clean and comfortable home from home with an amazing view! Ideally located for exploring a host of regional attractions or for going on walks from the door. So quiet and peaceful yet within easy reach of Bristol and Bath. The owners live in the next house along and are friendly and helpful. We will miss our garden friends the host of birds, squirRead morerel and bunny; we were even visited one evening by a deer! A restorative break in a property we would thoroughly recommend. Hide

A holiday cottage of a high standard situated in a quiet rural location. There are footpaths nearby over the undulating countryside. Easy access to Cheddar, Bath , Bristol, Wells, Clevedon etc. A great place to stay

An absolutely beautiful cottage. A perfectly peaceful location but within easy reach of Bath, Wells, Bristol and Portishead. The owners hang bird feedersa woodpecker was a welcome sight up close! The cottage was spotlessly clean and well equipped. The pint of milk and welcome fridge cake was a real treat.
