This beautiful detached barn is situated in the owners’ working sheep farm, located between the popular villages of Winford and Chew Magna. Charming village pubs are in abundance with one in Winford and three in Chew Magna alone. There are many walks accessible from the property and it is perfectly located to enjoy the area's must-see locations. Visit the historic spa city of Bath, the metropolitan city of Bristol, the picturesque scenery of Cheddar Gorge and Caves, and Wells, the smallest cathedral city in England as well as the local lakes of Blagdon and Chew Valley. Also, conveniently located for Bristol airport three miles away. The sandy beach at Weston-Super-Mare is also worth a visit offering a taste of the traditional English seaside.

From a narrow country lane drive through the private entrance to the property. Enter the kitchen which is well-equipped with an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave and dishwasher. In the adjoining utility room you will find the washing machine and separate WC. Through to the open-plan lounge/diner where you can relax in front of the wood burner and watch a film on the TV or head out of the French doors into the garden. Head upstairs to the first floor where you will find two bedrooms, one double with views over countryside and one twin. The bathroom with shower over bath and WC is also on this floor.

The enclosed garden with charcoal BBQ, patio and lawn is the perfect place for al fresco dining or for the children to play. Here you can enjoy far reaching countryside views and views of the spring fed listed aqueduct built in 1847 which crosses one of the fields. There is a Wendy house available for the children to enjoy, this also doubles as extra storage for bikes.

The cottage was spotlessly clean and had everything we could have wished for. It is in a good situation on the farm. Close enough to enjoy seeing the sheep but far away enough, not to feel overlooked by the big house. Watching the planes coming and going to and from Bristol Airport was interesting. Hubby's Flight Radar 24 App was in use a lot.

A fabulous visit to Wagtails barn with everything you could need catered for. Very comfortable, clean and in a good location for sightseeing in the area. Would highly recommend and if visiting the area again would have no hesitation in staying again. Really lovely thank you.

A very clean, comfortable cottage in a quiet, attractive position. Well placed for visits to the Mendips, Somerset levels, the north Somerset coast, Bath and Bristol. Enjoyed my 5th visit there!

This cottage is perfect if your looking for a place to relax. The location is a bonus easy access to lovley pubs and not far from Bath and other beautiful places. It is the second stay for me and I would definitely being going back. The owners of this property are so so friendly.

Wagtails barn is a wonderful cottage in a beautiful location. The cottage is warm & welcoming & we enjoyed being able to use the log burner on chilly nights. The cottage had everything we needed and the views of the surrounding countryside are stunning. A great location for exploring Bath, Bristol & Somerset. We hope to come back.

This cottage is beautiful, in a lovely location, full of the sounds of birds and nature yet only a short drive to so many days out and conveniences. Brilliant cottage, beautiful setting, comfortable and well equipped: great for small family and just a great place to stay over all, the owners added some lovely touches to the cottage and decorated it for Christmas and also baked us a cake and left some supplies in the fridge. We will definetly be returning

We stayed for three weeks and thoroughly enjoyed our time at Wagtails. The cottage is generously furnished and the kitchen is very thoughtfully equipped. The beds are of excellent quality and comfort, so often not the case in holiday accommodation. Thank you to Robert and Naomi for being so helpful and welcoming.

We were meet by the hosts upon arrival who live in the main farmhouse who are helpful and friendly. The cottage was spotlessly clean with much attention to detail given to ensure that visitors are adequately comfortable during their stay. Although we made much use of the local pubs and restaurants (we were on holiday after all) the kitchen is well Read moreequipped for those that wish to self cater. We have just returned from a fabulous 2nd stay at Wagtails Barn with our 7 and 2 year old! It was the perfect base for us to explore the area. Very comfortable & extremely well equipped with plenty of space for the 4 of us. The location is great for visiting Bristol, Cheddar, Longleat, South Wales, Bath but despite being close to these locations, iRead moret feels peaceful and secluded. It was lovely for the kids to see the sheep right outside, play in the Wendy house which has bats/balls for the garden Hide

We really enjoyed our stay in the cottage. The owners went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We had flowers , milk in the fridge and a tray made up with tea and freshly made cake.
