This is a beautifully appointed and equipped cottage, in an ideal location. Castle Cary is delightful & very friendly, with plenty of historical interest to look out for. The walks up onto the hills are beautiful. The quiet was refreshing - we heard or saw 30 species of birds locally. Cottage was clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and only a short walk for local shops/pubs. The cottage is close to the road with some noise from passing cars during the day.

Would recommend this beautiful cottage. It is immaculate and feels so cosy. We stayed for 2 weeks and enjoyed every minute. Everything we needed was supplied. Owners should be proud of themselves for the service they give.

Beautiful, comfortable cottage in a lovely country town. Great location for visiting the attractions of Somerset. Welcome milk, wine etc is a lovely touch. The heating kept the house cosy in the autumn evenings and I had dry weather to enjoy breakfast in the garden.

Very comfortable & well presented cottage. Castle Cary centre great to explore & we were fortunate to be there on the yearly Carnival eve. Amazing procession. The Newt Estate food & gardens was well worth the membership fee as we had visited other partner gardens previously. Bruton, Hauser & Wirth recommended too. Fabulous home cooked food at the BRead moreay Tree near the cottage within walking distance. We would use the cottage as a base again as there are so many other attractions to visit close by. Hide
