The property is set on the edge of the village of Williton and is within walking distance of a range of shops, pubs and bakery. Step back in time and aboard a steam train, conveniently located behind the main farmhouse is the West Somerset Railway, that takes you through the beautiful Somerset countryside. Dunster with its National Trust castle towering above is a must see and is just a short drive, as is Exmoor National Park, perfect for those wishing to walk or cycle this awe-inspiring landscape. Head to the coast and visit Watchet with it’s pretty harbour, or the coastal town of Minehead, further along the coast are the attractive villages of Porlock, Lynmouth and Lynton. Golf  Courses are found in Minehead at Minehead and West Somerset Gold Club (9 miles), Taunton at Oake Manor ( 15 miles ) and at Enmore Park (14.8 miles ). For the water-sport enthusiasts, Wimbleball Lake is 14 miles southeast and offers dinghy sailing, kayaking, windsurfing and glorious walks around the 11 mile circumference for your dogs.

Enter your private enclosed terrace with views over the shared landscaped gardens and Quantock Hills and step into the carefully crafted, light and airy property through the French doors. The kitchen area is fitted with everything you may need to prepare a meal or hearty breakfast including an electric oven and two-ring hob, fridge with ice compartment and dishwasher. During the warmer months let the outside in or when it’s cooler curl up in front of the wood burner and watch the seasons change. Relax in the lounge area, with Smart TV, wood burner and cosy seating, the ideal spot to plan your next day’s activities. Next is the stylish shower room with shower and WC where you can re-invigorate after a long day exploring. Well appointed little cottage, clean and tidy. The gardens are beautiful and extremely dog friendly. Great walks on the doorstep our dog had a great time too.

Perfect in every way. The cottage was clean, comfortable and quiet. Very convenient for the WSR steam railway. Village in easy walking distance and convenient (by car or railway) for Minehead, Watchet, Dunster (and castle) and the coast.

This was our second stay at The Quantock Room where Louise and Edward are the perfect Hosts . It was as enjoyable as our first visit ,they made us feel very welcome and always on hand for any queries we might have. We would recommend them without hesitation to family and friends. Beautiful location & ideal base to explore the wider areas. Accommodation is cosy & tidy & has everything you can need. We couldnt fault our stay at this cottage, the owners were very helpful, friendly and accommodating in every way! The cottage was spotless and had everything we needed. The bed was particularly comfortable and large and the bedding was good quality and smelt wonderful. Firstly, its all about "Locatio, location, Location". Brilliantly located between the Bristol Channel coast, Exmoor and the Quantock Hills and adjacent to the fantastic West Somerset Railway with its vintage steam trains, and close to Minehaed for all shopping needs, it could not get any better. The cottage was set in an idylic location, and although it was an compact little cottage you had everything you needed and actually was quite spacious, you have full access to all of the owners land so you can go on lovely countryside walks. The owners were lovely made you feel very welcome and offered all sorts of advice on places to visit. Absolutely perfect getaway . There is absolutely everything you need at this holiday home . This was our second visit and there will most definitely be a third and fourth . We had a wonderful holiday in The Quantock Room. Louise & Edward are super friendly. We didnt want for anything. There are country walks from the door (including to the beach) and you can walk to fish and chips, supermarket, indian etc in about 10 minutes! Absolutely fabulous property. The owners are fantastic and make sure everything is spot on for an enjoyable stay. The location is spot on and there are plenty of places to explore nearby. Lovely comfortable bed and even though there is a main road nearby there is minimal noise and nothing disturbed our sleep. Totally dog friendly and such large groRead moreunds to exercise the dogs.
