A historic village

In Dunster, you will be treated to a good and wide selection of pubs, restaurants, and tea rooms where you will be able to sample the best local produce. Dunster Beach will be right on your doorstep when you stay here, while you’ll also be able to go for walks or bike rides on Exmoor National Park.

Dunster is home to over 200 listed buildings and buildings of historical significance. Arguably the best known of these is Dunster Castle, which sits high above the village and was originally fortified during the Saxon times.

If you visit during the winter, you’ll be able to enjoy a spectacular event. The Dunster by Candlelight festival takes place every year on the first Friday and Saturday in December and sees the village bask in dancing candlelight after an annual Lantern Lighting Procession.
