Golf enthusiasts can enjoy a round at Wheathill Golf Club (2 miles), which offers an 18-hole course and driving range open to visitors. Traditional country pubs, including The Quarry Inn and Cross Keys Inn, are nearby, while the Fleet Air Arm Museum, Haynes Motor Museum, Clarks Village shopping outlet, Harry's Cider Farm and the weekly markets of Wells, Street and Castle Cary all make excellent days out.

Designed entirely on one level, the lodge offers step-free access throughout, with a non-slip ramp leading from the parking area to the entrance. Inside, the spacious open-plan living area creates a welcoming social space, combining comfortable seating with a well-equipped kitchen and dining area. Large windows make the most of the countryside views, while a Bluetooth sound system, Wi-Fi and a Freeview TV with built-in DVD player provide entertainment during your stay. A separate family bathroom is fitted with a bath, shower over the bath and WC.

Outside, a decked area stretches across the front of the lodge, furnished for outdoor dining and relaxation while enjoying the far-reaching rural views.
