Holidays in Watchet

The colourful ancient harbour town of Watchet sits quietly on the West Somerset coast. Its busy marina and Esplanade are a focal point of the town with its Old Port and quaint little shops giving it an air of tranquillity, as well as some interesting museums. Just 10 miles from the popular seaside resort of Minehead, it is also on the doorstep of the Quantock Hills AONB as well as a short drive from Exmoor National Park.

There are many things to do in Watchet, including The Mineral Line, the steam railway and various museums, as well as various opportunities for sports such as tennis and sailing. The beach is an excellent place for fossil hunting and there is lots of walking nearby. See the statue of the Ancient Mariner on the dock with his albatross.
