These converted semi-detached stables are conveniently situated off the A38 and set in a small courtyard attached to the owners' house. These cosy yet stylish properties retain some of the old beams, and are perfect for couples wanting to explore the area. Set on the edge of the owners smallholding with resident goats, horse and free range chickens. The perfect base to relax and enjoy yourself yet close to the wealth of attractions that Somerset has to offer including Cheddar Gorge, Wookey Hole, Clarks Village and the excellent sandy beaches of Burnham and Brean. Situated in the centre of the Somerset Levels you will have a vast choice of walks and cycle routes.  Amenities: Bed linen, towels, electric and heating included (£30 winter surcharge payable to owner on arrival September - end of May).

Location: beach 2 miles, village shops and pubs within walking distance, supermarket and launderette in Highbridge 0.5 miles.  A single storey stable conversion offering light and airy accommodation and ONE bedroom: double. Shower room: with large shower cubicle and WC. Lounge/kitchen/diner: TV, DVD and dining table, kitchen area with cooker, microwave and fridge/freezer. Outside: private enclosed patio area with seating, to enjoy a glass of wine and BBQ.

Areally warm and welcoming greeting by the owner such a friendly lady. The bungalow was very cosy and the heating was on when we got there which was very welcoming as it was cold. Lovely comfortable accommodation and friendly owner. Area great for dog walking, on the estuary to Burnham via the Apex park in Highfield (large, free when we stayed, car park at start) or on the massive beach at Brean Downs. Great food delivery from Mint Bay Indian in Highfield. Really relaxing week, we will hope to stay again.

Nice cottage. Convenient for touring N Somerset. Good local walks, connected to English coastal path, nice walk into Burnham mainly off-road. All the standard equipment included, comfy bed, dog friendly. Hosts very amenable.

A beautiful place to stay, handy for 3 local beaches. Sadie was extremely welcoming and helpful. Such a peaceful and comfortable stay that my dog, Harvey, and I hope to visit again very soon.

Lovely cosy cottage. Perfect in every way and lovely location. It was great to be able to head to the beach every day and then head back to find everything needed to make for a very relaxing and restful stay. Perfect also for the dogs.

Lovely little cottage near to some nice places to go dog friendly places to eat and lovely dog walks the cottage was very nice with a nice enclosed garden for the dog the owners were welcoming and friendly nice place to stay

Had a lovely week in this lovely cottage very clean and perfect for our two spaniels with an enclosed patio for our sole use. The owners were very n ice and were there if we needed them . would certainly recommend.

We stayed here for 4 nights with millie (our frenchie). Absolutely fantastic, only a short drive to the places we wanted to visit and we found the four nights really wasn't enough. Really enjoyable stay for us and the dog at Old Stable Alstone Cottages, good facilities with great secure space outside for the dog. Good location, lovely coastal walks nearby whilst here we visited Cheddar Gorge, Brean, Burnham On Sea, Weston Super Mare and Bath. 2 good pubs within walking distance The Orchard Inn and Crossways Inn with very frieRead morendly staff and locals. What a wonderful stay, the cottage was everything we wanted and alot more. Fabulous location for peace and quiet but close enough to all amenities when required. Sadie and Rick excellent hosts and nothing too much trouble. Would highly recommend this cottage. In fact I have already booked again for next year.

Really enjoyed our stay at The Old Stable. It was immaculately clean. Lots of space for dogs to enjoy and very secure. Lovely comfy bed, most important. Sadie and Rick are an absolutely lovely couple. Lots of info on places to eat at that allow dogs and places to go. Lovely cottage with everything we needed. Secure area for dogs to run about in, comfy bed, roomy kitchen/lounge area. Berrow/Brean beaches that allow dogs quite close and Orchard pub walking distance for evening food. Very nice owners!

Highly recommended this holiday cottage. Myself Wife and two dogs had a fantastic weeks holiday. The cottage ticks ever box, and was safe and secure for my dogs. There are two pubs within 5 to 10 minutes walk. Dog friendly, with great food and beer Last but not leased the owners were super friendly. Thank you.

Plenty of room for two people and a furry friend ot two. We loved it and so did out lab Buddy. Very dog friendly the owners have dogs and have used their experiences to make sure that there is everything you need it was spot on.
