This property enjoys a wonderful location just a few minutes' walk from Wells city centre. Wells might be known as England’s smallest city, but visitors will find a wealth of things to do here incuding the city’s stunning cathedral, brwosing the town's independent boutiques, and enjoyng lunch in one of the many eateries, which include a well-regarded gastro pub located just 200 yards from the property’s front door. Other places of interest within easy reach include Wookey Hole Caves, Cheddar Gorge, historic Glastonbury, and the discount shopping village at Street.

The front door of this two-bedroomed property opens directly into the lounge/diner with its beamed ceiling. Here, guests will find a dining table seating three, comfortable sofa and armchair seating, a TV/DVD, hi-fi, and an impressive fireplace with a warming wood burner. A door leads through to the kitchen, where guests will find all the equipment they need to make themselves at home, including a double oven, hob, microwave, fridge with ice compartment, dishwasher, and washing machine. Steep cottage-style stairs lead to the first-floor accommodation where there are two bedrooms. The first of these is a double room with a window seat and adressing table, whilst the second room is a restful single. The bathroom, which is also located on the first-floor, is a good-sized room with a shower-over-bath, and WC. Outside, there is a lawned area with seating and a BBQ to the front of the property, while to the rear there is a pretty courtyard garden which is accessed via the patio doors in the lounge.

The cottage was clean, comfortable and convenient for me to visit family. An improvement would be for a grab bar to assist getting into the bath/shower although not elderly or disabled myself it was still a bit of a struggle to get in and out safely if you are not used to them. Wonderful cottage situated just 5 minutes walk from the cathedral. The cottage was clean and very well equipped. Ideally situated with plenty of great puns and restaurants only a short distance away. It was so welcoming being greeted by a bottle of wine, cheese & biscuits & even some dog treats!! The cottage was perfect for our needs, & we all thoroughly enjoyed our time at the cottage & in Wells, many thanks to Fiona.
