Renovated barn situated on the edge of the scenic Mendip Hills with spectacular views from the garden. The gorgeous garden has a plunge pool and hot tub making this property the perfect base for exploring the Somerset Levels and beyond.

Set in the historic village of Banwell, this unique property lies adjacent to the main road (A371) which leads to the village and is only a short drive away from nearby shops, cafes and pubs. An expanse of woodland lies behind the cottage and the local area is perfect for walking, cycling and other outdoor pursuits. The spectacular Cheddar Gorge and Weston-Super-Mare beach are both only 20 minutes drive away. The ancient city of Bath is 45 minutes’ drive away, offering a range of activities from enjoying the Roman Baths to shopping and eating out. The property has been renovated to a contemporary standard whilst still retaining its traditional feel, with exposed beams and stained glass. Outside, a raised decking area offers panoramic views across the Somerset Levels. The split-level property is accessed via a flight of steep stone steps which leads from the cottage to the decking area and garden. ( these steps make the property unsuitable for those with specific access requirements). The ground-floor bathroom offers a bath, over bath shower and towels. The lounge, also located on the ground floor, is the heart of the house with log burner (first basket of logs included), TV, Blu-Ray player and stereo with bluetooth connectivity. A range of books and DVDs is also provided. It is the perfect place to enjoy an evening in. A small galleried area with seating overlooks the lounge. The kitchen/diner can be found on the lower ground floor and is stylishly decorated with an electric oven and gas hob, fridge with ice compartment, microwave, washing machine and dishwasher. The ground floor master bedroom offers a king-size bed. The second bedroom, situated on the upper floor, contains twin single beds.

Outside there is a small patio area and steep stone steps lead up to a raised decked area, complete with outside seating and BBQ, from which to enjoy the views on warm evenings. In the adjacent garden there in an inflatable hot tub, available all year round and an unheated plunge pool, available 1st May - 30th Sept. Pool inflatables and garden games are provided.

A beautiful cottage with a stunning view and perfectly located for all the activities we wanted to do while we were away. The hot tub was a particular highlight for my children. The cottage was very well equipped and the owners were extremely friendly and helpful.

Lovely cottage in a nice location to explore all that Somerset has to offer. Cottage was well presented with everything you could possibly need, plus added luxuries of the log burner, pool and hot tub. Great Wi-Fi signal throughout. We had a lovely week away. Like home from home with everything you need. Fabulous views and my teenage boys loved the pool and hot tub. Don't need a gym with the steep steps, we would definitely go.back.

Lovely cottage in Banwell - very steep location- plenty of steep steps outside and 2 flights inside cottage- people with mobility issues or toddlers would struggle. Cottage very well equipped and lovely welcome goodies when we arrived. The pool was amazing as we had excellent weather during the whole week - lots of floats available with plenty of gRead morearden toys. Lovely place to stay. Is next to a main road but didn't really bother us. To access the property off a side street through wooded area which us lovely. There is parking at the top of the drive and down near the barn but it's very steep. I have a large car and did park at tge bottom but had to drive partially into other driveway and reverse down. ThRead moreere are some steep steps also which wouldn't be good if you have mobility issues. Had an enjoyable stay and nice to use hotub and pool. Thank you. Hide

We had an enjoyable stay at White Croft Barn. Its well located for local attractions like Cheddar Gorge and Weston super Mare, and it was nice to come back to the hot tub. The layout is quirky but the cottage had everything we needed as a family of four. Beautiful cottage in picturesque surroundings. Richard and Carol were so friendly and accommodating and we certainly appreciated the wine and milk on arrival. The house was such a lovely getaway. Everything we needed was there and more, the hot tub and log fire made it the perfect place for a cozy winter getaway. The location is central to a lot of nearby attractions (Weston-super-mare, Puxton Park, Cheddar gorge etc.) and the hosts have clearly put a lot of effort into making sure you enjoy your stay. Excellent reception from the owners who live nearby. The welcome pack of milk and wine were brilliant! Very clean and warm cottage, albeit a bit tricky to get to via quite steep steps. A lovely character cottage very conveniently located to plenty of attractions in the area. The hot tub was a major bonus which we used every evening. Such a beautiful cottage. Very well equipped. Owner is very hospitable, greeting us on arrival. Be prepared to be confident with steep hill starts & a bit of off road driving to/from the cottage which has the most beautiful view. Love the little nook to sit in out the way, my 13 year old stole this when home. Hot tub is lovely, didn't try the pool Read moredue to weather. Brilliant property, had everything we needed and more. Stunning gardens and views. Close to a lot of attractions. This can't be changed and would dampen views if it was any different but just be aware of the steep hill from top of the road down to actual cottage. You can drive down and there's more than enough space to park but we left out car at tRead morehe top. Made the older ones a little out of breath reaching the top. However everything was perfection for us so didn't really bother us at all. Hide

The cottage was set up very well and very well equipped. There was nothing that wasnt available for us to use. The owners were welcoming and were available if we needed anything or assistance. We would highly recommend White Barn and would certainly return for another stay if we were to visit the area again.

This cottage is a little gem. Great location for exploring with everything you need. Short drives to Cheddar Gorge and Wells which has a beautiful cathedral and town to explore. We visited White Croft for a week at Easter with our kids age 11 and 8. Richard and Carole were perfect hosts. The cottage is beautiful. Very well equipped, really comfy. A brilliant DVD library and we had movie night by a roaring log burner every night. The hot tub is brilliant and the kids even got in the unheated pool. Absolutely loved our stay,so clean&cosy. Had everything needed,for cooking, hairdryer, iron&ironing board. Owners gifted us a bottle of wine&fresh milk. We enjoyed the cosy wood burner. No issues getting up&down the driveway, although a little steep. Easier to turn near owners drive and reverse down. Directions given were easy to follow. I would heartily recommend this cottage. The cottage was very easy to find thanks to the clear instructions given. Accessing the property and parking at the bottom of the drive was straight forward, even in the icy/cold weather. The cottage is lovely and warm, the bedrooms comfortable, the standard of the provided equipment was high. The kitchen waRead mores well equipped and easy to cook in.
