Forming the wing of a 17th century Somerset longhouse, this property retains plenty of original charm with exposed beams throughout. Arranged in an upside-down layout to make the most of the views, the spacious open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner is located on the first floor. Prepare meals in the contemporary kitchen area, which contains an integral electric oven, hob, dishwasher, fridge and microwave, before dining at the table nearby. At the other end of the room, a cosy lounge area features comfortable sofas, exposed ceiling trusses above and a Smart TV. The ground floor displays stylish slate flooring with under-floor heating. There are two light and airy bedrooms, one king-size and one twin, each sharing the ground floor bathroom with shower over bath.

Step outside onto a raised paved patio area, where there is garden furniture and a BBQ for al fresco meals surrounded by roses. Guests also have access to a one-acre paddock where children are invited to play.

Lovely cottage which feels like it is set in remote location, but is just a mile away from town centre. The roads around the property are quite narrow so be aware of oncoming traffic (especially the tractors). Lots of nice walks to go on in the surrounding areas.

We enjoyed our stay in Pear Tree cottage. It was very clean, cosy and comfortable. It is in a lovely quiet location while being close to Bridgwater and many other places. It provided the peace and quiet that was desparately needed.

A lovely stay with our family in pear tree, the cottage is lovely, the right mix of warm and cosy and bright and airy. The open plan upstairs living room is spacious and a great place to hang out, as is the hot tub. Richard and Sue were great hosts, and provided some useful tips on where to take the kids for days out.

I have just arrived home after spending a week with my family, at pear tree cottage over the Xmas Period, it was the most prettiest cottage inside and out, it was clean, Well equipped, cosy warm excellent all round!! The hot tub was so Relaxing and peaceful to listening to the birds and looking up to the stars at night. The owners were always on haRead morend if needed anything made sure everything was to our liking but Gave us our privacy, I would definitely book again and recommend its a special place Hide
