Wells is just five miles away and has many historical features including the magnificent Cathedral and moated Bishops Palace. There’s a wealth of cafes and restaurants to suit all tastes, a mix of independent and high street shops, thriving markets and even a cinema. Travelling through the gorge to Cheddar is spectacular, enjoy exploring the village, caves and Wookey Hole. Visit the village of Priddy which is a short drive away where you can walk the Mendip Way which provides miles of beautiful pathways to be enjoyed by foot or bike, or enjoy a car free day as there is a bus stop nearby which takes you to Bristol Temple Meads Railway Station, Wells, Glastonbury and Street.

You are welcomed into the delightful detached property and into the kitchen/diner, which is a perfect space for trying out new recipes or old family favourites. The kitchen is well-equipped and has an electric oven and hob, large American fridge/freezer, microwave and dishwasher. There is also a utility room which is a perfect space to hang coats and store muddy boots with a washing machine and WC. Heading up a few steps takes you straight into the spacious lounge a perfect room to relax in with comfy sofas, where you can catch up with your favourite programme on the Smart TV or watch a DVD. From here head upstairs where the staircase splits, turning left and up a few more steps will take you to the first of the three bedrooms. The first bedroom is a double with TV and en-suite bathroom with bath and WC. The further two bedrooms are located to the right of the staircase one twin with TV and one double with TV. Also on this floor is the shower room which has a high beamed ceiling, shower and WC.

Venturing outside from the kitchen/diner is a small enclosed walled garden perfect for your four-legged friends. There is also a large enclosed garden with a patio which makes a perfect spot to enjoy your morning coffee, or a glass of wine with dinner from the charcoal BBQ in the evenings. Immediately in front of the property is off-road parking for two cars with further parking available on request to the owner.

We stayed for 1 week in this beautiful cottage ,a lot of space very homely and clean . Very comfy beds and good quality pillows and duvets . Very friendly owners who helped and allowed us to have our renewal of vows in their garden ,forever grateful to for this and all the help and understanding. The cottage has lots of space, and is well equipped. It is very close to the A39 and bus routes to Wells, Glastonbury and Bristol. It was only 10-15 minutes to Wells by bus. NOTE: Any young children either need to be safe on stairs or not yet mobile! There are lots of stairs/levels and the stairs are not suitable for stair gates. Had a really wonderful stay here, the property was stunning and location perfect for us will be rebooking. The owners were lovely and made you feel welcome from the get go. A lovely place to stay in rural Somerset. Close to an old Central city of Wells which caters for all amenities including supermarkets for supplies. Easy access to well known locations including Glastonbury, Street and Chedder gorge. Recommended.

Dance hall was quite adequate for our needs altho it was unfortunate that there was nowhere to walk dogs from our door. However, 5 mins down road in car there were lovely woods. Well positioned to get to other places by car.

Fantastic accommodation, very clean, exceptionally comfortable. Lovely friendly hosts. The EV charger was really appretiated, plenty of hot water and huge American fridge/freezer in the very well equipped kitchen. The garden was very spacious and well kept and super safe for our dog. Location and surroundings were amazing, super close to Wells and Read moreto Glastonbury and Bath. We had lovely walks in nearby Stockhill Woods and loved Berrow dog friendly Beach. A beautiful, clean cottage. The owners were lovely and so friendly. We throughly enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect for days out. Our dogs had the most incredible time at Berrow beach and the accommodation was perfect for them too, a nice enclosed garden, large enough for two labradors.
