This converted barn is one of three properties, which are positioned within Somerset countryside and make a perfect base for couples and families to explore everything the local area has to offer . Ideally located in this rural setting, yet within easy access from the motorway and perfectly placed to reach the popular Victorian seaside destination of Weston-Super-Mare, with its 4 miles of golden sandy beach and imposing pier, and home to the observation wheel and the popular Sea Aquarium. A short drive inland leads you to Britain’s most spectacular caves at Wookey Hole, the home of the infamous Witch of Wookey, as well Glastonbury Tor and the picturesque, quaint city of Wells, the shoppers haven is at the Clarks outlet village at Street, and the stunning city of Bath, teeming with awe inspiring architecture and its rich historical past including its famous Roman Baths and Royal Crescent, to name but a few.

Lovely converted barn , very comfortable and spacious. Surrounded by beautiful scenery, cows, sheep and cows as neighbours. All equipment there that we needed, local pub, The white horse inn as recommended by hosts was great, can also recommend Richs Cider Farm , within walking distance, interesting tour , enjoyed the cider tasting and cream tea! Lovely cottage ,clean and well equipped ,All rooms were beautifully decorated and well furnished. Kitchen diner was a delight for family meals with large table and all the equipment needed to make a family meal Large garden space for our granddaughter to run around in , with seating to soak up the sunshine from breakfast till late. The cottage is clean and tidy and in a quiet area. Just the sound of cows in the distance when you wake up. Heaven. It is a good base to get around easily with a lovely cider brewery with shop, just a short drive away. We had great days out in Bath and Wells as well as visiting the coast. The barn was spotless and contained everything we needed for a lovely four day break. The barn was very comfortable and was situated in a lovely quiet location with views of the countryside all around. Lovely to return to after a busy day out sight seeing. Very peaceful and quiet location, clean accommodation more than big enough for us - a family of 5. Lovely, playful farm dog and friendly horse came as a bonus. Easy access to M5 to explore Somerset, Dorset etc, but far enough away so you wouldn't know!

Lovely cottage in a fantastic central location for beach, nature, history - Brean Downs, Avalon Marshes visitor centre (including Avalon Archeology) Axbridge, Cheddar Gorge and Caves, Dunster Castle, Wells Cathedral and Bishops Palace.. all worth a visit. Our third stay at this beautiful little find. Its so lovely returning to peace and quiet after a day out busying around the local towns and beaches. Our girls adore the animals surrounding the barn. Julia is an absolute pleasure. Look forward to next time!

Our fourth visit to Southwick Farm cottages. Had a wonderful time, as always. Cottage is very spacious, comfortable with everything you need for a lovely time away. Looking forward to returning, would wholly recommend.

An ideal cottage for a three generation family with the smaller living room used by our two young grandsons as their playroom, but equally ideal for teenagers or even grandparents who want their own space. Very clean and tidy when we arrived and well equipped. A good sized grasses area just for the residents of the barn.
