Head along the coast and visit Watchet (3 miles) with its marina, or the seaside town of Minehead (10.5 miles). Slightly further along the coast is the attractive village of Porlock (15.5 miles) and Porlock Wier. Dunster with its National Trust castle towering above it is a must-see (8.5 miles), as is Hestercombe Gardens (14 miles) near Taunton. Completing the accommodation is a double bedroom with a TV/DVD and an en-suite Jack and Jill wet room that can also be accessed from the lounge/kitchen/diner.

Venture outside onto the raised decking with your morning coffee and soak up the views over the gardens and the Quantock Hills. It is also a perfect place to cuddle up under a blanket whilst watching the sun go down. A really well positioned accommodation, easy to find and in nice surrounding area. The welcome basket was a really nice touch and much appreciated. The owner was very friendly and went out of his way to personally welcome and explain the amenities on offer to us. We enjoyed our break.

Beautiful cabin. Everything supplied that you need for a self catering holiday. Nice decking to sit out on and admire the gorgeous scenery. The owner was very helpful in going through the local map and recommended places to visit as we did not know the area. Plenty of National Trust woodland walks to go to in the area.

The lodge is clean, comfortable and well equipped. It had everything we needed. We very much enjoyed our week there and it was the perfect base for us as keen walkers. We were close to another love of ours too...the West Somerset Railway.

A very pleasant stay and was just what was required to recharge the batteries. The WIFI code didn't work but the WIFI signal was very weak anyway so just bare this in mind. A little welcome pack with some tea bags and coffee and maybe some biscuits and a pint of milk would have been a nice addition and more than one loo roll would be useful. None oRead moref these things in any way detracted from what is essentially a lovely stay and great value for money. The owners are very friendly and welcoming Hide
