A beautiful spacious property with an excellent mix of bedroom accommodation. Lovely outdoor space for the dogs to stretch their legs, and for us to sit if the weather had been a little better! We hope to return in the future.

We booked the cottage for a large group of us over new year. It was ideal for what we wanted! Large kitchen and dining areas, well equipped with glasses, plates, dishes etc. The house and grounds are beautiful and the location was perfect. Only a few minutes drive to local shops and a lovely pub.

This property is absolutely beautiful & the garden grounds are fab for young children. However, the AGA did not work the whole time we were there & there are serious electrical issues at the property which cause tripping & half the house to lose electricity, this also caused the water to stop- both hot & cold because the softener is connected to thRead moree power . The owners need to fix these issues, if these are fixed this house would be 5 stars. Sadly this marred our Christmas stay somewhat. Hide

Absolutely stunning. We were a party of 6 and the cottage was perfect. Everything we needed was there. The huge garden was equally as beautiful and the cottage's location was ideal; we were able to explore Dorset, Devon and Wiltshire within an hour's drive.

The Old Forge was beautiful, just wish we could have stayed longer. A nice addition would have been to have condiments such as salt and pepper. We were asked to put bedding in bags but were unable to find any. All in all we had a lovely stay and hope to stay again one day.

Generally very clean, comfortable and plenty of space. Outdoor patio areas need some work as does driveway - significant trip hazards to the elderly and children. Well equipped.
