This cottage is located 2 miles south of the village of Wedmore, between the Somerset Levels and the Mendip Hills. Wedmore is a vibrant village with varied restaurants, a diverse range of quality food and other independent shops. Under 0.25 miles of the property, take in Westhay Nature Reserve, a paradise for bird lovers, or legendary cider maker, Roger Wilkins. Mystical Glastonbury and Street, with Clarks Shopping Village are also close by. Finally, the cities of Bristol and Bath offer cosmopolitan culture, museums, bars and restaurants.

With original flagstone floors, a pine table and well equipped with an electric oven and hob, fridge and dishwasher, the kitchen is perfect for preparing old favourites and enjoying Somerset’s great food. Beyond, there is also a larder with a microwave and masses of additional storage, plus roomy cupboard for boots and coats. The kitchen leads to the lounge, which boasts a wood burner for really cosy evenings. Here you can snuggle up on the comfy sofa and watch your favourite programmes on the Smart TV, read a good book, or use the card table for family games or jigsaws. Upstairs, you will find two well-appointed bedrooms, a double and a twin room with desk and working space. There is a contemporary shower room with a shower and WC.

Venturing outside from the front door and up several stone steps is the parking area adjacent to the lane. There is a private garden which boasts far-reaching views over the Somerset Levels and to Glastonbury Tor. Sit at the garden table, which is a perfect spot to enjoy a BBQ, or just relax and enjoy a glass of wine or cider. Adjoining the cottage is a storage room where you are welcome to keep your bikes. A beautiful cottage with views of the Tor. Hilary was super helpful. The cottage was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. We traveled to Glastonbury and Cheddar, both not that far from the cottage. Beds really comfy and big white fluffy towels. I would very much recommend if you wanted to stay in this part of Somerset

It was a very rainy week when we stayed. The cottage was really cosy and warm to come home to after being out and about, and the log burner was perfect. The owners were very good hosts, and at hand if needed. Great location, with many places to visit within a short distance. Wedmore village is a must!
