Lovingly renovated detached cottage providing a relaxing and romantic getaway in rural Somerset. Within 1.5 miles of the village pub, 0.5 miles from the shop and 5 miles from the vibrant market town of Frome.

This wonderful escape is situated in one of the most popular parts of Somerset, in between the vibrant market towns of Frome (5 miles) and Bruton (9 miles). Both towns have a lovely cafe culture, independent boutiques and plenty of amenities, including weekly markets. Situated near the Mendips (20 miles), walkers and cyclists will be spoilt for choice with picturesque routes virtually on the doorstep. Visit the Roman city of Bath (20 miles) with its Georgian architecture, museums, thermal spa, galleries, shops and theatre or the stunning cathedral city of Wells (14 miles). Also within easy reach are the following attractions: Nunney Castle (0.7 miles), Cranmore Railway (5 miles), the National Trust’s Stourhead House and Gardens (10 miles), Cheddar Gorge (21 miles), Chew Valley Lake (20 miles) and Glastonbury Tor (17 miles).

The perfectly equipped kitchen has an electric hob and oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and Nespresso coffee machine, it is a great space for cooking lazy breakfasts or trying out new recipes. Head up the stunning bespoke spiral staircase to the beautiful king-size bedroom with Smart TV and sleep tight after exploring the wonderful countryside. Completing the accommodation is an immaculate en-suite bathroom with a roll-top bath, separate shower and WC. There are sloping ceilings upstairs, which is all part of the charm and character of this wonderful property.

Outside there is an enclosed suntrap courtyard. Guests will find a table and chairs and a BBQ where a spot of al fresco dining and a glass of wine can be enjoyed under the star-filled skies. There is ample off-road parking in front of the property.

We had a n amazing stay at the Hideaway. We arrived and was greeted by our lovely host, who went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. . The cottage is done to a high standard, with the essentials of Cake and a chilled bottle of wine in the fridge Best welcome ever! Just a 10 minute stroll down a country lane and you're in The lovely Nunney VRead moreillage with it's dominating castle remains, Pub and Cafe. Nice new apartment with most items you will need. Cosy and lots of hot water for bath or shower. Kitchen well appointed. Bed comfortable. Lovely village Nunney nearby. Very accommodating hosts.

Stunning cottage, lovely warm welcome from the host Debbie, not to mention a surprise. There is so much to do in this area, via car . A great walk to the local pub, in the next village . Highly recommend the noun for food hospitality - super dog friendly and did the best Sunday lunch! Beautiful part of the country

Loved this cottage just right for two. Quality of the finish and cleanliness is spot on and the owners are very friendly but not intrusive. The village is an easy walk and Frome with all its amenities is just down the road. One surprising place we found nearby was Hill brush factory which sounds strange but has an excellent cafe for lunch and dinneRead morer its called Brush and Broom also Clarks shopping village well worth a visit right next to Glastonbury Tor. Lovely cottage, so warm & cosy. Built by the owner to a very high standard. Really well equipped. Owner on site & very welcoming and friendly. Great location for exploring Somerset & only a short walk to a beautiful village complete with shop, cafe, pub & even a castle. We really enjoyed our stay & would definitely book again.

Although this cottage has been done out to a high spec and there was a very warm welcome by the owners unfortunately the noise from lorries thundering past day & night spoilt our holiday and we came home after a few days what a waste of money. Brilliant place Location was excellent, central to other places of interest. Situated near woods that belong to the owner, excellent area to take our dog for a walk, the deers would often appear in the evening. Lovely warm greetings from the hosts of the "hideaway", Its Idealy located for visiting in any direction - Bath, Bristol, Frome, Wells, Salisbury, Yeovil. Even has a (1360) medieval Nunney Castle just 15 minutes walk. Enjoyed our time there.

Hideaway was a truly amazing place. Had every home comfort for the perfect get away. We were able to visit Bath, Wells and Cheddar Gorge all in a short drive from the Hideaway. The Hideaway is a fabulous holiday cottage, everything we wanted and more! Very comfortable indeed. The owners give a warm welcome and are on hand if needed. The village pub is a 15 minute walk away and is very friendly with great food. Location is great for exploring all Somerset has to offer.

Absolutely loved the cottage. We stayed in the duration of our visit as it was so comfy and relaxed. The fireplace and heated flooring was amazing. We had a great time at the Hideaway. It is a comfortable and well equipped cottage and we found that we had everything we needed there. Its in a good position for visiting the attractions round about. My only slight problem was traffic noise early in the morning. Very good cottage, with an excellent bed and very good shower. Kitchen equipment everything you need for a holiday. The sofa is a bit low for us, but others have really liked it. The noise from lorries on the main road can occasionally be a bit intrusive.

Loved staying at The Hideaway, greeted with a bottle of wine cooling in the fridge and a homemade cake, which was delicious. Great location, with the dog enjoying the wooded area which belonged to the property and even managed to see three deer, would highly recommend and would definitely stay there again.

This is a lovely cottage, which is very well maintained, and is a good base for exploring the area. It is just off one of the main A roads that connects the surrounding towns, and Frome is less than 10 min drive away. It was lovely to arrive to some home baked cake which was delicious as well as a bottle of wine to chill with. The Hideaway was perfect, clean comfortable and extremely well equipped. The hosts were the nicest people you could wish to meet. The welcome cake was beautiful and went well with a much needed cuppa. We will definitely be returning.

The cottage is of a high standard in its build & fittings, and heated by an efficient biomass system. The owners were most welcoming, helpful and informative. The nearby ancient village of Nunney made for an appealing short walk, and Frome was just a short drive away.
