A mere 1.5 miles away lies the Georgian market town of Crewkerne, with independent shops, pubs and takeaways plus a railway station and indoor swimming pool. For additional retail therapy, venture to the market town of Yeovil (10 miles), or the county town of Taunton (22 miles). Explore the famous Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site for fossil hunting on Charmouth beach or visit Lyme Regis, Dorset's iconic seaside town (both 17 miles), or Bridport with its twice weekly market (11 miles). There is a choice of country walks, cycle routes and golf at Cricket St Thomas (7.5 miles). Visit Forde Abbey (8 miles) and Montacute House (9.5 miles) and perhaps go to the Quantock Hills or the nature reserves on the Somerset Levels.
Step inside this beautiful characterful cottage and you will immediately find yourself in the light and airy lounge/diner with original flagstone and tiled flooring. This wonderfully relaxing space has a comfortable sofa, armchairs, a Smart TV and a multi-fuel stove set in a feature fireplace, perfect for those cooler months. From here, head into the well-equipped kitchen and enjoy cooking up a storm. From the kitchen is a stable door leading via three steps to the back garden. This light and airy bedroom overlooks the enclosed cottage garden. Completing the accommodation is an immaculate shower room with a large rainfall shower.
Outside, the garden is in two sections – the nearest to the house is paved and the second has gravel. Both sections are fully enclosed and offer a good degree of privacy. In the first part of the garden, you will find a dining table and chairs with a charcoal BBQ, so you can relax and enjoy some al fresco dining. The second part of the garden is accessed via two steps and boasts a further seating area which is a delightful spot to sit and enjoy your morning coffee or relax with a good book.
