Homely terraced cottage sleeping three, located close to Wells City Centre within walking distance of all the towns facilities and attractions, including the historic cathedral and a range of interesting shops and eateries.

This property is located in the cathedral city of Wells, England’s smallest city. The city is easily negotiable on foot and offers a great range of independent boutiques, pubs, delis, and restaurants, alongside the magnificent Gothic cathedral and adjoining Bishops Palace Gardens. Just outside the city, a ten-minute drive away, visitors will find Wookey Hole Caves, a complex of attractions not only including the caves themselves, but also a number of museums, a 4D cinema, a range of play facilities, and a Victorian penny arcade. A little further afield, a visit to the impressive Glastonbury Abbey is not to be missed, and keen shoppers will enjoy a day visiting the discount shopping village in Street, just eight miles away.

Two steps lead from the pavement up to the front door of this property, bringing guests to the cosy and homely lounge, where a window seat and a comfortable sofa offer plenty of space to relax in front of the TV/DVD and hi-fi, or perhaps curl up with a book in front of the pebble-effect electric fire. Guests pass the dining area on the way to the kitchen, where they will find an oven, hob, microwave, fridge with ice compartment, washing machine, and coffee machine. Upstairs, there are two bedrooms. The first of these is a restful double room, whilst the second room is a peaceful single room. The bathroom can also be found on this floor and offers a shower-over-bath and WC. Outside, to the rear of the property and accessed through the patio door in the kitchen, there is a small, yet attractive, courtyard garden which has garden furniture and a BBQ. There is off-road parking available for one car, whilst guests can also find roadside parking close to the cottage.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

3 Lorne Place ticked all of our boxes. It was clean, comfortable and cosy. We especially appreciated the welcome pack of wine, cheese & biscuits. The list of places to eat & drink was also excellent and we pretty much sampled every one.

Perfectly situated for a holiday in that area. It was so quick and easy to walk into Wells, with other places to visit nearby. Would be very happy to stay there again.

This cottage is in an ideal location for walking to Wells Cathedral, the other attractions and restaurants. The parking space adjacent to the property is only suitable for a very small car. We took the owners suggestion of alternate parking nearby.

Great location, 5 minute walk to the Cathedral and a surprisingly good place for shopping. Felt instantly welcomed by a complimentary bottle of wine, packet of biscuits, and milk in the fridge, which was nice. Cosy rooms, small but functional kitchen with tea, coffee, sugar, and even cooking oil all ready and waiting. The welcoming hand written carRead mored was a nice touch too. Good selection of supermarkets in walking distance. Park on the main road if you have a car bigger than a Smart or Mini. Hide

Had a wonderful stay. Everything was great, well equipped with everything we needed and even BT broadband! We had a very helpful information sheet from the owner which covered just about everything we needed to know. We would stay again!
