This property is located in the cathedral city of Wells, England’s smallest city. The city is easily negotiable on foot and offers a great range of independent boutiques, pubs, delis, and restaurants, alongside the magnificent Gothic cathedral and adjoining Bishops Palace Gardens. Just outside the city, a ten-minute drive away, visitors will find Wookey Hole Caves, a complex of attractions not only including the caves themselves, but also a number of museums, a 4D cinema, a range of play facilities, and a Victorian penny arcade. A little further afield, a visit to the impressive Glastonbury Abbey is not to be missed, and keen shoppers will enjoy a day visiting the discount shopping village in Street, just eight miles away.

Two steps lead from the pavement up to the front door of this property, bringing guests to the cosy and homely lounge, where a window seat and a comfortable sofa offer plenty of space to relax in front of the TV/DVD and hi-fi, or perhaps curl up with a book in front of the pebble-effect electric fire. Guests pass the dining area on the way to the kitchen, where they will find an oven, hob, microwave, fridge with ice compartment, dishwasher, and coffee machine. Upstairs, there are two bedrooms. The first of these is a restful double room, whilst the second room is a peaceful single room. The bathroom can also be found on this floor and offers a shower-over-bath and WC. Outside, to the rear of the property and accessed through the patio door in the kitchen, there is a small, yet attractive, courtyard garden which has garden furniture and a BBQ.

We (Grandma + 2 Grandchildren (6 + 8) loved to stay in this tiny cottage, especially the children, it made them feel at home and cosy immediatly. We were happy that the town and the shops, also the bus station were within walking distance, absolutely ideal, and the bus stop to Bath only a few steps away in St. Thomas Street. Lovely, warm, cosy cottage, ideally located just a few minutes walk from Wells Cathedral, shops and eating places. Lovely to be able to park directly outside the cottage, unfortunately this wasn't guaranteed as we found out on a couple of occasions!

The cottage is in a great location close to Town. We were a party of 3 adults and would have benefitted from an armchair instead of a tub chair. The cottage is very well equipped with everything you need. We found the beds very comfortable.

The location of the cottage is excellent for experiencing the delights of Wells. The Fountain Inn, an excellent gastro pub, is just 150 yards away. Parking outside of the cottage is adequate for a small car (We have a VW Polo) however the mews is narrow, and a three point turn very awkward, hence we had to reverse out onto main road. The cottage haRead mores a cosy feel and the owners kindly left welcome gifts of wine, cheese and crackers (thank you). Everything in the cottage worked as should. Hide

A delightful cottage in a wonderful location. It was lovely to open the bedroom curtains in the morning and see the cathedral so near! Comfortable and well equipped - ideal for a week exploring the city and beautiful rural surroundings. We hope to come again!
