Renovated barn situated on the edge of the scenic Mendip Hills with spectacular views. The gorgeous garden has a plunge pool and hot tub helping to make this property the perfect base for exploring the Somerset Levels and beyond.

Set in the historic village of Banwell, this unique property is only a short drive away from nearby shops, cafes and pubs. An expanse of woodland lies behind the cottage and the local area is perfect for walking, cycling and other outdoor pursuits. The ancient city of Bath is only 45-minutes’ drive away, offering a range of activities from enjoying the Roman Baths to shopping and eating out. The property has been renovated to a contemporary standard whilst still retaining its traditional feel with exposed beams and stained glass. Outside, a raised decking area offers panoramic views across the Somerset Levels. The split-level property is accessed by steep stone steps (which may be unsuitable for those with specific access requirements). The ground-floor bathroom offers a bath, over bath shower and towels. The lounge, also located on the ground floor, is the heart of the house with log burner (first basket of logs included), TV, Blu-Ray player and stereo with bluetooth connectivity. A range of books and DVDs is also provided. It is the perfect place to enjoy an evening in. A small galleried area with seating overlooks the lounge. The kitchen/diner can be found on the lower ground floor and is stylishly decorated with a gas oven and hob, fridge with ice compartment, microwave, washing machine and dishwasher. The ground floor master bedroom offers a king-size bed. The second bedroom, situated on the upper floor, contains twin single beds. Outside there is a small patio area and steep stone steps lead up to a raised decked area, complete with outside seating and BBQ, from which to enjoy the views on warm evenings. A plunge pool and inflatable hot tub is also provided between May and September, with pool inflatables and garden games.

We had a great week. The cottage is well stocked with everything. The pool and hot tub are fantastic. The only thing to remember is this part of the country is very hilly so there are quite a few steps, on the plus side you will go home fitter when you leave.

We had a brilliant reception on arrival, the owners even helped us unpack the car and carry the items to the property. Than showed us how everything worked before leaving us to enjoy our holiday, didnt see them after that but could contact them if any problems arised. Great sized rooms and the noise from the road is hardly noticeable. Property was Read morealways warm and great lighting throughout. Didnt make use off the plunge pool but did enjoy the hot tub with the beautiful views. Hide

It was a beautiful quirky cottage, really homely and cosy. Theres a lot of big steps outside and lots are stairs inside if you have young children, but they provided a safety gate which worked great for our 2 & 3 yr old! The kitchen was really well equipped with everything you would need and they provided lots of DVDs, games and books too. Also the extremely steep driveway down to the cottage is a challenge for anyone who doesn't like hill starts in their car. Lovely barn conversion in great location for local attractions. Nice pool and hot tub in big garden with beautiful views. Helpful owners next door. However, it sits directly on a busy A road and, if you're a light-sleeper like me, the road noise may disturb you. Vehicular access to the property is very steep and some serious hill starts required. BRead moreig stone steps down to the property are difficult, especially when wet, so not recommended for young children. Hide

Just back from a week away. The cottage was lovely. The pool and hot tub were a massive bonus in our summer heatwave. Made to feel really welcome upon arrival.
